Excellent Value
Older style courtyard motel. Excellent value in deluxe double room. Clean, spacious bathroom, roomy shower recess with a small step, plenty of bench space. Double and single bed, table with two chairs as well as desk/bench in bedroom. Frig, kettle etc. and microwave, TV, iron etc, hair dryer and hanging space. Quiet street opposite Toowoomba Grammar School. Noise from motel courtyard was audible in our room but all was quiet by 9pm. The curtains were not block-out, did not close completely so room was a tad light overnight. Next door motel restaurant was closed to all but its own guests so we drove 4km to suburban shopping centre for a delicious meal at Thai on High Street, which had been rated well on Trip Advisor and lived up to its ratings.

Room 11 was not good. It smelt like dirty old man. The bedding was clean but the room or toilet did not smell good. Ive stayed a couple of times and is usually basic but fine.

The room was set out well, bed very comfortable. Unfortunately the tea coffee sugar and biscuits were not refilled properly and i didnt like the taste of the milk.

We have stayed at this motel several times a year for the past 18 or so years. This has been our place to stay and have not stayed anywhere else. We have always been extremely happy however this time was not the case. It has obviously changed hands recently as things were just not up to scratch. There were items left in the bathroom from previous guests, pieces of toilet paper over the toilet floor, the shower was moldy, there were no bathmats, only 1 teabag and 2 sachets of coffee. For the first time, we were disappointed with our stay.

Pros: Very clean, convenient Cons: public area lighting is too bright and the curtains in the room do not keep the light out of the room completely. My bed was adjacent to the window which meant my sleep was impacted by the bright lights. Toiletries were incomplete, however the lovely staff at reception provided more upon request.

Clean throughout, very comfortable beds, peaceful, helpful staff. On asking a staff member about where the local gardens were, she also printed out an information sheet on other things to see and do in the local area and brought it to me. I found this very thoughtful as i didn't request the information sheet. I would definitely stay here again.
