Parking is nearby and not on-site. Otherwise, comfortable overnight stay on the road to other places. Good room with mini-fridge and they were able to accommodate our requested room type.
The Altora has spacious rooms, good Wifi and a helpful staff, all in a great location a short walk from Plaza España. There's even a small store, a bakery and a laundromat right across the street. The only drawbacks are that parking can be a bit of a challenge, and that the walls aren't thick enough to block out noisy, snoring neighbors.
My experience at the Oyo was short but pleasant. I picked up my motorcycle from Valencia and was riding it back to Seville in the middle of a heatwave. Driving through Tomelloso I gave up as the temp was hitting 42C. Booked a room at Oyo and they received my reservation within 15 mins. The lobby was much fancier than I expected and the place looked great, however the receptionist was quick to let me know their A/C had just stopped working...
Fortunately, before the disappointment sunk in that I wasn't going to experience this great looking hotel she had me booked in another property of the same level. I would have loved to stay here and would give it a chance if I was you as what I saw did not disappoint.
As for the town, Tomelloso is a charming little place and I was very pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely be back during a cooler period to check it out again.
This was a stopover city for us on our road trip to Barcelona. This was a very nice and clean hotel, easy to Park (free right in the street) and close to the local town square. Small town, with a small collection of bars and restaurants and shops, all of which were easy to get to from the hotel. If I happened to stay in this town again, I would definitely stay here. This was a pretty boutique type hotel.
We booked this hotel on our way to La Mancha, Spain. We arrived late at night but to our surprise this hotel was amazing. It's a hotel in a small town. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, modern and super clean! They had some amazing pillows and the bed was very comfortable and crisp white sheets! Bathroom was beautiful also and extremely clean! We felt very comfortable at this hotel. Breakfast in the morning was great also with a good variety of fruits, bread, cold meats, bread and great coffee. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the town square with restaurants and shops. 100% recommended!
Very good, quiet location but very near (3 to 5 minutes) walking to town center. Location perfect to see Castilla La Mancha (southern province of Madrid and excellent wine and manchego cheese area). The story of Don Quijote and many others are at your hand reach, spectacular nature's sites.
We had two good nights at the Altora in Tomelloso in Castile-La Mancha. The hotel is small, but neatly designed and very convenient as you are in the centre of Tomelloso within 3 minutes. The room we used was clean and equipped with basic items, but perfectly adequate. The bathroom was well designed and quite spacious with a walkin shower. The air-con worked well. Hotel Reception was well-run and friendly, though at breakfast time the receptionost was doubling as waitress in the small dining area. They did not know how to make tea! We were offered a tea-bag dangling in a cup of steamed milk. In general though, we enjoyed our stay and gfound Toelloso to be friendly and quite lively.
This was a very nice room in a surprisingly delightful town. The hotel is almost impossible to find but a local person led us there. It's within easy walking distance of the main downtown where we had a very good supper and enjoyed the energy of this bustling little city. The hotel was fine; breakfast was plentiful with a good variety. For the money, it was very good value.
excellent hotel, bit difficult to find, suggest getting map before you go.But it is well worth finding ,it is more or less in the middle of town, hotel has its own secure parking nearby, service and food first class and beds were very comfortable
We were not expecting much from Hotel Altora, tucked away in the middle of nowhere. We were wrong on both counts, the hotel is located in the wine capital of the world and has much to offer in terms of art and architecture. We enjoyed visits to the Bodegas, art museum. The hotel is centrally located and staff was very helpful and directed us to all the sights and tastes of the town despite language barriers. Room was clean, spacious and had all the ammenities that made our stay comfortable.
