The check in is chaotic and impersonal. The room is as expected. The service is poor. I was sat next to the front door. As it was 5C it was cold. I asked if I could take a food item to my room, I was told “no!” They said, they realised that the seat at which I was sat was cold.

Great stay near Shinjuku without the chaos. Lots of tourists. Gets really busy at check in and check out. Cool vibe. Not enough seating in lobby, especially at breakfast time. Nice places to eat inside the hotel. Laundry facilities available, but not enough for the number of people staying at the hotel.

The hotel caters mostly to tourists and aims to provide a hipster and ecological atmosphere, but it fails on both counts. Yes, there's a DJ in the lobby on Friday evenings but the rooms are spartan and uninviting. On the ecological front, they change your towels every day whether you want it or not, and they leave new plastic toothbrushes daily even if you haven't touched the ones from previous days. The location is quiet but the area is not very interesting. It wasn't good value for money.

This is a great hotel if you know that you will be a little distant from the Shinjuku Station complex. It has a great vibe, cool restaurant, and is right in front of Shinjuku Chuo Park. My room was relatively spacious, and it had great amenities. I only wish I had utilized more.

THE KNOT TOKYO Shinjuku was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! It was clean, quiet, and safe, with a fantastic location and a wonderful ambiance. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and I loved being able to rent a pocket Wi-Fi from the front desk. The bakery downstairs was amazing—the cinnamon donut will forever hold a special place in my heart!

We chose this property due to location near a major station, Shinjuku station, which makes it easy to explore Tokyo. It’s a few blocks walk from the station though, which may be inconvenient for some people. The positive of that walk is that it’s on a Main Street that’s fairly quiet and faces on to a park. The bakery downstairs serves very reasonable priced food with lots of good options for breakfast. The other restaurants seemed very popular but we did not try them. The rooms are functional but small as expected. Check in and out process is automated on machines but did not work for us so it had to be done manually, a bit frustrating. Shinjuku itself has lots of good food and shopping but there are some seedy parts best avoided by families.

Rooms so thin that you can hear your neighbours whispering when you’re trying to sleep. Price was ok, ventilation didn’t work in bathroom and was fairly dusty in the room.
