Room was clean and the view was excellent, liked it so much I added an extra night which the staff was very accommodating with. Staff spoke good English and were happy to answer any questions I had. Location is perfect does get a bit loud but hey you’re in a big city you should know that. Overall would recommend to a friend.

This hotel is in a quiet little corner of Shinjuku, close enough to all the fun stuff but quiet enough to enjoy some quiet. It also has an awesome rooftop bar. This was my second stay at this hotel.

The room was great and the service was great. But, my one complaint is that the refrigerator was not working properly. My food spoiled when stored and when I asked the front desk worker, he touched it, said it was somewhat cold(the room at 20C was colder than the inside of the fridge), and did not address the fact that it was not cold enough to hold actual food products. I have stayed over 4-6 times at Shinjuku Granbell and have never had a fridge that did not work. It was very disappointing as I had leftovers and perishable items.

This place is fine if you’re staying for just one night, but I wouldn’t recommend it as your main hotel. The location is about 15 minutes from the train station, but with the amount of traffic and crosswalks, it felt much longer. Walking to the hotel at night, especially when we checked in, was a bit unsettling and not the most pleasant experience. The biggest issue we faced was the elevator situation. We waited over 20 minutes for an elevator, even though we were only on the second floor. When we asked about using the stairs instead, housekeeping informed us that there were no accessible stairs for guests—only elevators, which was incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the nearest convenience store was about a 10-minute walk away, which wasn’t ideal and felt far from “convenient.” While the hotel might work for a brief stay, it’s not the best option if you’re looking for something closer to the train station or with better accessibility and amenities.
