Very Good

Extremely cramped rooms, bathrooms are like airplane bathrooms - no elbow rooms at all. Charged me 11000 yen extra for 2 nights because I had incorrectly entered my kids’ ages during booking (number of people was correctly entered).
Absolutely don’t recommend this if you have kids.

A very budget place near Ueno station. Shopping and food. Not obvious where to enter, poor signage.
Nice place to stay, the staff is really friendly the only complaint could be that the washroom is really small but it is Japan so it is standard.

Fine place to stay, very convenient.
I don't like that each tattoo patch is 500 yen - it's fine that you don't allow tattoos in the hotel onsen, but you should charge those patches at cost / without a profit as it's annoying to have to put them on anyways.

Not as good as the reviews suggest for a family
This was a disappointing stay, thankfully it was short - just one night. It cost £270 (GBP) for a family room - a typical price in Tokyo *but* the room was TINY and quite outdated and tired. It was the width of the length of a double bed - you had to climb over your partner to get out of bed. Floor space was exceptionally limited. The bathroom was tiny - I banged my head on the door handle standing up from the toilet. We had stayed in a family room in another hotel for 4 nights earlier in our trip, it was similar price but worlds apart in size and quality. Can not recommend this hotel - although it was very close to the stations in Ueno for easy access to the Skyliner to Narita. It’s only saving grace really - although the staff seemed lovely,
Exceptional service is just the cherry on top. My niece lost her wallet (with cash. Drivers license and cards) in a trip to Mt Fuji hosted by a different company. The front desk staff helped without hesitation to call the tour company, locate the wallet, and made the arrangement for its return. Thank you Fujiwara and to the male intern!
Although I paid extra for cleaning, no one cleaned the room for our whole stay. Apparently you have to tell them you want the room cleaned?
We were in an annex across the raad, not the main building. The hotel is very old.
Very noise area of the city. The Towels are vapor thin. Fans in bathroom not powerful enough to suck out steam. Although clean, the room had minor scratches and ripped wallpaper. Stayed in the bunk bed room. Staff did not speak good English and could not answer any of our questions. I do not recommend this place, particularly if you are traveling with kids.
The location was great. Close to train station and access to restaurants and shopping. The property is old and shows signs of wear and tear. Especially in public areas. Hotel room floor is dirty.
Very good hotel. Love the public baths. They have a lot of travel items available for guests. Clothes washers include detergent. Nice to not having to buy detergent. Staffs were helpful and can speak English. Rooms were a little small. Rooms were clean. The temperature of the hotel was comfortable.

This was the most expensive place we stayed in Japan , very convenient for Ueno station and right in shopping street but needs a makeover. Mouldy smell in bathroom , helpful staff
