This hotel had a very friendly staff and was conveniently located next to the subway, the Sword and Sumo museums. However, I found the room and the bathroom to be very small for a hotel standard. I'm 5ft 10 in and my wife is 5 ft 2 in and the bathroom was too small to fit us both simulateously. We had a room with a Queen bed and the room was tight. If you're a person with a bigger body habitus, you may have problems navigating around the room and bathroom. Additionally, the elevators took an unusually long time to arrive when summoned.

Short story: it's APA, so it's affordable, the rooms are small, but everything is clean and well taken care of. The caveat is that this particular one is a small city in itself, which comes with some problems. This hotel is very large, but not everything scales along with the number of rooms. For instance, while there are a lot of self check in machines, there are not a lot of staff. The staff that are there are great, but if its busy and you need help it can take a while. Another thing that doesn’t scale is the konbini. There is a Lawson inside the hotel, which is cool until you realize there is only one for a hotel with around 1,000 rooms, many of which have multiple people in them; the 7/11 in the nearby train station was usually less busy, so I often shopped there instead. Yet one more thing that doesn’t scale is the coin laundry room: there are 6 washers and 6 dryers. APA probably has some elegant corporate formula for coin laundry machines to number of rooms, as this does seem to be about the ratio for others (stayed in an APA half the size in Hiroshima and it had 3, a third the size in Hakodate and it had 2). The problem is this hotel isn't primarily used as a business hotel, this is Tokyo, so more guests than usual were tourists. Thus, trying to use the coin laundry during the evening is murder. All that said, it is still a nice hotel, and would consider staying there again. The rooms are slightly larger than other APAs I stayed in, which was nice.

Really nice for the price and suited me just fine. Reception staff weren’t really willing to help when I asked where I could go to post items home. Could use better customer service. The room couldn’t be faulted, though. Restaurant was a little overpriced and charged me even though most of the food had run out. Would recommmend eating out. Cheaper and better.

Elevator situation is untenable. No where near enough elevators to handle the number if rooms. Not just at check out time but even late ot early. Only a few washing machines, good luck doing your laundry unless you want to do it at 4am. Wont stay here again
