Clean rooms, comfy bed, hot showers, polite staff
The 1 bed standard room is not huge or super fancy but it was cleaner and and more updated than I thought it would be from the no frills exterior. The beds were comfy, the showers with high mounted goose neck shower head ran hot for a long time, The late night staff was polite and helpful. All in all it was a very fair price for what you often have to pay for a pet friendly hotel room these days.

The staff is excellent: easy check in, Kaley (I believe) helped us with a tv connection problem by offering to come to our room to see what she could do, found the problem and fixed it in less than 5 minutes - great! Very helpful.

Unfortunately The Dalles is undergoing a lot of work so the main building is unuseable. Our room was on the motel side, the toilet continually kept filling up which was noisy through the night and the floor was very dirty, I walk barefoot so felt the dirt underfoot. Breakfast was very basic and there was only one table which was occupied (there are a lot of rooms!). The staff were lovely.

The pool was closed. Partially under construction (not mentioned in add) so only limited cold breakfast available. Stairs were rickety to second floor. Area was generally rundown. Room was adequate and clean but badly in need of renovation

We had a king room. The bed was super comfy. The room is quite small for two tall (over 6ft) people. Shower head very high up. The room was clean but was quite shabby. It had a comfy chair, but no table and chairs. There were many outlets around the room. It’s fine for an overnight stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. It offered bagels, oranges, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice, etc. It was a good grab and go variety. Not healthy but still good. We would stay here again.

Room was comfortable but nothing special. A lot of outside noise. Good for a place to sleep for the night. Probably not ideal for someone who would spend a lot of time in a hotel room.

The only thing we didn't like was their breakfast. Only Danish, bread and bagels mostly. No protein at all. Coffee was lukewarm.
