Cheap budget hotel that needs attention.
The hotel beeda attention. The room had broken lights and missing wall light. Loose tap on the sink and dirty towel.
The grounds although could be lovely, it hadnt been looked after. Grass was overgrown and the lake was near empty with brokwn fence - not as pretty as previous visit. Staff gave no information bar looked closed and the restaurant wasnt in use.

It was a good base and the room was fine.
No dinner or hot breakfast as kitchen out of order.
A few minor issues with flickering lights in corridor and socket not working in room and building looked tired. gardens were overgrown which was a shame. Not sure it’s been recently taken over or just being neglected. Massive potential and was ok for our overnight stay
Our door wouldn’t open with the card so the staff member had to open it with the machine everytime we needed to get back in. The bar was open but with limited stock. Overall the hotel could be really lovely with a gardener to look after the grounds and some more staff, perhaps keys for the doors instead of the card system would be better and a stocked bar with bee on draught also
Looked great from the photos, this must of been taken over 20 odd years ago, conditions were shocking inside, 2 random
Guys on reception in bomber jackets , all very tired, dirty and in desperate need to renovation
Staff friendly enough, clean.
Room was fine, except the handle on the shower riser rail was bust. Smallest bottle of shower gel I've ever seen. No socket by bed which is annoying these days with phones, laptops etc. Fan in bathroom didn't work.
"Continental" breakfast is pretty thin and doesn't start until 8 at weekends. Unripe bananas. Cheap fruit juice. Croissants pre-packed not fresh.Cereal a small selection of the little multipack boxes. etc
I wonder how long the lift has been broken for? It was out of order when I stayed a couple of weeks ago.
It was functional enough as an overnight stay en route.
The location room upgrade was excellent and it was very quiet with great facilities in the room. The only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast the next morning, it wasn't good with a lack of food available for £6.50 so that needs to be changed.
