The staff were very friendly, the room and hotel was very clean,easy walk to the beach and town,and the breakfast was create your own from full English, continental, yogurts and fruits.

Its a beautiful estate like property, very well groomed, in a great location. However, the rooms are very basic, albeit clean and comfortable, but the washroom was very dated and could use modernization. Also, the pillows were sadly very old.

Hotel is convenient to town, gardens are lovely, food always piping hot. Car park spaces are very tight, bigger cars struggle. For us only problem was too many dogs in dining room (guide dogs were fine and well behaved), but one evening eating our meal, couple came in with two large dogs, one of which kept putting his paws on the dining table. Weather was awful and dogs smelt probably due to being wet from rain. Parts of hotel interior very dated and in need of repair.

Overall the Hotel stay was very pleasant, staff very helpful and food better than expected, some reviews were very negative. Location is very good, with easy access to beach and town. Disappointed that the beautiful pool water felt so cold. Just a shame that the room, especially the En-suite was lacking the cleanliness that I would have expected, quite dirty in places, dusty and a few cobwebs found, lamp shades could do with a good clean. I would recommend and return to this Hotel at a future date.

I def fantastic holiday at the Clifton hotel food was lovely. Scenery was lovely really would recommend anybody visiting this place. People are absolutely great. Pleasant couldn’t help you more enough.

A very nice Hotel in a very good location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean and set in lovely grounds with nice views. Easy access from the Hotel through the lovely garden straight down to the Sea Front. Overall, a lovely few days at this Hotel, will definitely stay again. 😊

Really enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were amazing. Only downside was the collection of moths in the bathroom due to a window too high to close. Also there were more guests cars than parking spaces.

The room was on the ground floor 2 doors away from the pool room and someone was playing til 1:30am which kept us awake. The room smelt like wet dog and just felt unclean. The location is perfect and the grounds are beautiful. We were very disappointed as I expect there are some lovely rooms unfortunately we didn’t get one.
