Staff were super helpful & kind, room was clean and tidy, mall outside with Costa, M&S etc… However there was a terrible smell in the hotel and in the room which I could see the hotel had tried to put air freshener plugs around but this was not masking it as it was truly unacceptable smell

The staff here are super helpful and very accommodating. We had issues in one room with the bath/shower option not working and were immediately offered another room which was much nicer. Hotel itself is basic, but it was absolutely fine once we switched rooms

Area around reception was grubby & unkempt, my room key (36) was filthy on the fob, communal areas tired and needed a good hoover. Water pressure for shower was excellent, bed was comfortable and room was peaceful, reception staff friendly & professional.

Key to bedroom difficult. Sticky table tops. Bedding clean but beds uncomfortable Needs updating. Reception young man was very helpful and helped with baggage upstairs. Deserves to be appreciated by employers

Great for a 1 night stop over

For what we paid and what we needed this for it was an excellent location and stop off for our journey. One of the beds was very very soft which want to my liking but otherwise everything was absolutely fine and we will use again if making a similar trip.

The hotel was easy to get to and park being at a motorway services. Receptionist was polite and helpful and the room was quite and comfortable. I was pleased that there was a bath as well as the shower. Many places don't have baths anymore. The room was a bit dated but everything worked and was clean. Very good value at a cheap price...

Wyndhams should be thoroughly ashamed of this property in 2025. It was like staying in a 1970s fleapit motel, with smelly rooms, paint peeling off the walls, furniture better suited to the scrapheap, and so on and so on. Seriously, it looked like little maintenance and no decoration had been done for decades. The mattress was limp, the window locks were broken, and the water in the shower went from hot to cold every 20 seconds. Only a very pleasant and helpful your receptionist saved this place from me reporting it to trading standards officials because this is NOT what you expect of a major hotel chain, especially at the rates they charge for it. Don't stay here. It's a total disgrace.

The receptionist was very Nice. Her name is Ella. Please thank her for her courtesy. Sadly the heating was inadequate. The bathroom towel rail / heater was not working. Wall heater in bedroom antiquated and unsafe. The shower/bath taps could only work together and not isolated. Bed and linen and towels excellent. Necessary repairs urgent
