Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The location of this property was perfect as it is in the heart of downtown Taos. The vibes are good and there is live music daily. Rooms were cute and clean. Due to the fact that it was an older building though the room was extremely noisy due to external sounds and we could not sleep due to hallway noise, people talking outside, and fire sirens. For the price we paid I wish we had a better night's sleep.
The property was old style quaint. I love staying at properties that have a history and are not cookie cutter. The room was exceptionally large for a hotel room.

Charming old inn. Comfortable room and convient to local sites
Located in a great walkable area parking is directly by the hotel and restaurants entertainment on the same spot. I arrived 830 on a Saturday night to a very loud musical group and people seem to be having fun while I admit it was a little difficult to hear the person checking me in and we went behind the test in the back room so I could hear Because I had right late. The dining room was closing, but they were able to get me in. Had a great meal at Doc Martin’s cook your perfection and to cook at my room was upstairs which was not a good option for me because I have balance issues that I was able to get my suitcase up And I left one in the car so I just took in what I needed for the night the room has two twin beds and an L-shaped small TV and small bathroom. The pill did have a stain on the case that was clean TV was small and did face the bed that I was not sleeping on. The only minor note is that the air conditioner and a lot of other things are all plugged into a strip plug, which could be a possible fire hazard, who all this property was in a perfect location to walk around the plaza I would return just perhaps get a room on the first floor, which most of them are.
Location is great in center of town, nice music in lobby after happy hours with friendly crowd of locals and guests. good drinks. Upstairs in old hotel is via steep steps; old floors are somewhat uneven; many rooms in back area with casita-like bldgs.
My only regret is that we could only stay in Taos one night, but my friends and I picked the perfect place. It was easy to find in a great location with well marked signage for parking and within walking distance of many galleries. The hotel has a lot of character and the room was charming and unique. The staff was helpful. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant that had an entertaining band. I would highly recommend the Historic Taos Inn.
