This hotel was one of the most affordable in Taos the night I stayed, so I really wasn’t expecting much. Upon check-in, the front desk staff informed me she had “upgraded” my room at no charge. The room was beyond awesome, the size of a full apartment, with a small kitchen, patio, living room area, fireplace, murphy bed, huge comfortable california king size bed, beautifully handcrafted furniture and beautiful natural wood details on the ceiling and throughout the room. I honestly was blown away each time I walked in the door. There was a huge and beautiful restaurant and “cantina” on the property and the $8 breakfast burrito I ordered for breakfast was delicious and kept me filled the whole day. The property as a whole is spacious and old… in that typical Taos spanish colonial style…and I found it to be magical and charming. The staff were friendly and the fitness center was teeny tiny but had a decent treadmill and was accessible late into the night. For the money I paid this place far exceeded my expectations and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice historic property and the kids enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We liked our room that had two bathrooms and two bedrooms for our large party. We also enjoyed the back patio and the restaurant.

It use to be my favorite place to stay. They use to give a continental breakfast voucher but i guess not anymore. The woman at check in was not friendly. The room had holes in the walls and the head board was coming off. I won't stay there again.

Meh.

Outdated and minimally maintained. Of the three rooms we had, all of them had unique problems. Our first room smelled so badly of cat urine, we had to change rooms. The second room smelled fine, but had quirks. It was enough for one night, so we kept it. However, it had fluorescent lighting, old fixtures, and the door didnt close unless slammed. Our other room was cleaner, smelled fine, but... there was some kind of atain on the wall and light switch near the sink that looked like blood; A dead spider was smashed into the shower wall; the heat lamp in the shower area was crooked and we could see into the ceiling; and the fluorescent lights were dim, took forever to come on, and were different colors within the same room. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If only the rest of the resort were as good as them!

Older property but the room was clean (and huge). The staff was great. Very hot water and two bathrooms in a suite was also nice. With a little TLC on the woodwork in the building it would present a very nice vintage southwestern feel. Ice machines closer to the executive suites would be wonderful though. Very satisfied with this hotel.

I really liked the place a probably return. I had two big dogs with me. The room however looked as though so had taken a nap in there. The bed was made but with ruffled pillows and indentation on bed used towels and trash. I tolerated, and left after one nite. I didn’t complain, I had the dogs.

Such a fantastic place to stay if you’re visiting Taos! So quaint and quiet. My only suggestions would be a to get better flushing toilets and a mini fridge that worked. Other than that, I totally love and would book again.
