The room was nice and large but the in-room phone did not work, the bed-side lights did not work. There was no mini-bar - if you wanted a drink you need to call reception, which isn’t an issue if the phone works. Ordering room service was complicated and limited choices- no desert options. The food was mediocre at best. Was our second stay and our last.

Highly recommend, would stay again

Would highly recommend as the Hotel is conveniently located with easy access and friendly professional staff. Room is quiet, very comfortable and bathroom clean and overall well appointed room. The convenience of tea and coffee facilities and the access to the West's for meals is good. We had a fire emergency in the morning of our stay and the staff were well drilled and efficient in having all guests evacuated without fuss and ensure utmost safety. Everyone was kept well informed.

This motel is just off the main road so no traffic noise. It's attached to a sporting club so good meals are within walking distance. Our room was spotless and the staff were helpful and friendly. Happily stay there again.

I was more than delighted on my arrival. The hotel has a very warm welcoming feel and the staff at reception were lovely! Nothing was a problem. Being female and travelling alone I like to feel safe and this hotel delivers! Situated within easy walking distance of the CBD I took advantage of this by walking almost daily. I did have a rental which was accommodated securely in a canopied car park with entry by code. The hotel is conveniently adjacent to an event centre which has a family restaurant, bar & cafe for hotel guests to use as well. The hotel itself has almost a garden atmosphere- I had a garden outlook and was able to watch the antics of a pair of magpies from my bedroom. It was very quiet with no main road and constant traffic noise to bother one! My room was kept beautifully by housekeeping and very attractively decorated with incredible pictures of snow in Tamworth! The shower catered for two with big monsoon type shower heads, plenty of towels even pool towels. Unfortunately it was a little too cold for swimming! Conveniently literally 2 minutes walk away is a shopping complex consisting of Coles, liquor land, pharmacy and a post office. There is absolutely nothing to grumble about! The Mercure Hotel Tamworth NSW is a lovely place to stay and I have every intention of making a return visit! I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you! Gina Williamson
