I mistakenly made a reservation thru Expedia for wrong day. I realized the error next day and tried to correct it. Expedia informed me that I made nonrefundable reservation and that that hotel must approve the change of date, In addition to numerous e-mail exchanges I talked to hotel who put me on hold for a lengthy time, to inform me that they were overbooked the correct night, and no, they would not cooperate with refund, However, I was able to reserve room online. As a result, I paid for two nights and stayed for one disappointing night. Nightstand light did not work, no hair dryer, only one large towel, and breakfast a true disappointment, cleanliness marginal, I made an error, but learned a lesson, be careful with online reservation services, they may not be helpful with changes.

A Sad Story

I made an error on the date of Expedia booking and discovered it the next day, over a month in advance. Expedia said sorry you made a non-refundable reservation and were uncooperative in an attempt to change it. The hotel was also uncooperative and told me they were overbooked the night that we actually needed to stay. But I was able to make online reservation. I was charged full rate for the mistaken night; The night of our stay was also a disappointment. Nightstand light did not work, no hair drier, only one large towel, breakfast was truly lacking. I should note that we have stayed at this hotel many times, but due to the above, this was our last.

Not worth the price.

Apparently, this property is in the process of being updated. There were no pictures or mirror on the walls but the hooks were still in the wall and painted over. The threshold between the tile entrance and laminate floor was loose. The electrical outlets inbedded in the headboard did not work on either side. Only one small trash can in the bathroom. No clock in the room. Furnishings were minimal, at best. Is convenient to Steinbrenner Stadium. Bed was comfortable. Very poor signage from the street.

When I checked in around 1am the agent at the front was alone. He didn’t greet me when I arrived nor did he ever make eye contact with me. He was talking to me looking down the whole time. He asked if I wanted to use the pull out bed I said yes he handed me sheets to make it up myself. Lastly asked for an extra wash clothe he said he didn’t have one and gave me a hand towel. Never again!!!

This hotel is used for some type if shelter for homeless or something. Had an issue with a man verbally assaulting a young woman in the lobby and no one came to help except my wife and I. Will never stay there again. Don't know why Expedia offers these properties. You need to do a better job of knowing what is going on at the hotels you offer.

Let me preface this by saying we stayed here last year and it was fine. This year it was totally different. We arrived and when we walked in the smell of mold, mildew, & Pot was overwhelming. The front desk staff was friendly and that was the end of the pleasantries for our short lived stay. Not sure who they were housing but one woman said she was there since October. The room was filthy and run down. The bathroom had hair everywhere. We went out for dinner and when we came back there was 3 police cars and people were being handcuffed and led out. We were booked for 2 nights left after 1 and never looked back. Lessened learned!

Do not book here!

First off the front desk clerk gave me a room key to an occupied room. Once entering the 1st room we noticed someone in the room on with the TV on eating food. It was very awkward. Went down to the front desk again the 2nd she gave me the room doesn't have a working ac/smelly moldy. There were cockroaches in the shower. No hot water to shower in on the 1st and 3rd day. The Ac made noise then a breaker turned off flickered the lights and turned off the TV and wifi. The rail in the elevator is broken, caution tape on the elevator floor when opening door before stopping on the floor. The room I booked was for a studio suite with a kitchenette. Room number 2 had no kitchenette like I paid for but since she messed up and gave me an occupied room I didn't feel she was confident enough to rectify the situation. The door has to be slammed to close properly. There was a very thin see thru "curtain". The shower handle is broken. Rock hard bed, I formed a rash on my arms after sitting on the bed for a few hours. Not enough pillows. Shower water stinks like recycled water. Internet kept shutting off all 3 days. We felt something was off about this hotel, the clerk asked multiple times how many kids did we have, 1. I never said I had kids, 2. when I booked i didn't list any kids only adults. Why would you need to know that information and write it down on my key card... almost felt like a trafficking tactic. Definitely will not be back, definitely will not recommend this hotel to anyone!
