Do not stay here! First I would like to start off by saying booking here was a last resort because all of the other hotels were sold out in Tampa, FL that weekend. Checked in late Friday night. When you walk into the hotel, it smells damp. My family had 2 conjoining rooms which was nice. The downside is the rooms smelled of smoke and wet dog. We told the front desk immediately. Their solution was to give us a can of Glade spray to spray in the room. To make matters worse, ants appeared later that night. We notified the front desk. They sent an "exterminator" (I use that word loosely) to spray in our room on Saturday. The ants were coming from the window or A/c unit. He told us they wont come back. We were away from the room most of Saturday.
On Sunday for breakfast, the electrical panel used to make pancakes began to smoke. So the wafflemaker was removed.
Also on Sunday night, the ants returned. This time on our beds and headboards. We notified the front desk again, and they apologized. They offered to switch our rooms in different floors of the hotel. But we declined. We were checking out Monday morning and my elderly mother could not handle the move.
We spoke with the hotel manager at check out and they gave us a room discount. I will never stay here again.
