Hotel is a construction site on floor 8.

My stay was terrible due being housed on the 8th floor which was a demolition site due the hotel renovating the rooms facing the airport. It was unhealthy as all the dust came into my and other opposite. It is shameful of the Rydges hotel to occupying the rooms near the construction site rooms and to charge over $300 per night for making you sick ..suffeting from rubble dust in my lungs. Not accepting

The hotel is so convenient to the international terminal, especially if you have a morning flight. Room was clean and a good size. We booked the room with the airport view so it was nice to watch the planes at night.

Lovely hotel and so handy for Terminal 1. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and cosy. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Good cafe/casual restaurant on site with a good selection of food and drink. Would stay again.

Terrible stay.

We checked in around 5pm. Our room was surrounded by rooms that were being renovated. No work was being carried out when we arrived. But we were woken up early by a lot of construction noise and all the workers talking really loudly outside our room. When we left, the construction workers looked surprised to see us, which tells me that they were told that no guests would be staying in the construction zone. We complained and the only response that we got was that we were supposed to have been told about the construction during check in. But we weren’t. The receptionist went and talked to the manager who said that there was nothing that he could do. The manager couldn’t even be bothered to come out and apologize. We weren’t offered anything, not even breakfast. I can’t believe that they would book people in the middle of a construction zone and allow the work to start so early. Absolutely ridiculous! Terrible experience, I wouldn’t bother staying here again as the staff don’t care about your comfort at all.
