I would not stay there again

Pros: nice location within reasonable walking distance to high end shopping and tourist attractions, fun elevators, nice dark room with comfortable bed, staff was nice Cons: room was not the cleanest, lousy gym, terrible bathroom layout— no towel bars & shower got the entire bathroom floor wet, hair dryer did not get hot so my hair wouldn’t dry all the way

Hip mid city accommodation.

Our 2nd time at this hotel was not as enjoyable as our 1st. When we stayed here a couple of years ago we were captivated by its quirky ambience but on our return the reality of the triumph of style over substance was glaringly obvious. I'm willing to admit that my negative observations are most likely age related. I'm sure it will have huge appeal for a younger demographic but at this price point, in my advanced years, I would expect more than was on offer. Service was faultless, always helpful and offered with a smile, the restaurants and bars were 1st class so if you're young, have deep pockets and you're not annoyed by techno music in the elevator and public places I'm sure you'll have a wonderful mid city stay.

Very brown and dark

Place was just to dark. If the staff use torches in the middle of the day in the corridor to see what is on their trolley then it is just too dark. The colour scheme is brown everywhere, no view outside the windows than another wall and it becomes quite a depressive place. We enjoyed other QT hotels but not this one. Touches in the room are nice but overall it was not a good experience.

Good location, faded interiors

Centrally located, with decent resto on the premises. Service a bit flakey - checked in online but reception seemed unaware. Resto and cafe food good, service kookie. Sadly the suite we were in was faded. Scratched, scuffed, stained furniture, walls and floor. Some of the Starckian fittings and doors were in need of maintenance. Poor value. A makeover would transform the place.

Great position in centre of Sydney. Liked the idea of giving a $10 F&B credit for each day that you “go green” and don’t have the room serviced. More hotels should implement this .

The hotel is amazing. The staff were very accommodating. My room was so beautiful. It is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and transportation. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff was superb. Food was great. The room had many lights and many light switches but never did get very bright. Maybe change to fewer but brighter lights. The bath and accessories wer marvelous but the design had some problems with the shower, it sprayed most of the bathroom.
