First the not so good stuff. At first it was a little bit hard to find the entry to the hotel lobby, need to go down an ally/lane. Definitely needs more signs and a sign at the lobby door. The room we got had thin walls, we could hear the people in our neighboring rooms talking, and also a bit of music from a bar or night club. The room itself was a bit outdated, could use a lift up. The lighting system can be a bit confusing, but once you memorised the buttons it wasn't too bad. Now the good stuff, The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has a nice old rustic feel to it, very moody. Hotel has direct access to 2 of the attached bars. And of course location wise, you can walk 5 minutes to anywhere, restaurant, bars, train stations, Circular Quay, and there's a light rail station next to the building.

The property is quite lovely. Very spacious room and bathroom. Very conveniently located to lots of nearby amenities, and neither light rail and circular quay. The staff were incredibly kind and very helpful. There was nothing there would not do. The only problem I had was that the Property is quite noisy, I could hear people coming and going down the hallway as of the evening and early in the morning, and opening of other hotel room doors. Sound seems to carry/ Reverberate under the door. I would say the property is more 4* in quality rather than 5*.

A somewhat hidden hotel affiliated under their restaurant/bar/club empire mainly in Sydney area. The staff was absolutely wonderful, sweet and friendly however the accommodation needs a facelift badly. It was cool during y2k.

This hotel is great and the staff were fantastic. Unfortunately it has really weird system for lights etc in the room and I couldn’t figure it out. It was controlled from a phone that wasn’t anywhere near the bed & was not intuitive. Nowhere in the room was it written how to dial reception, so I had to phone the hotel number on my own phone. I was then chided for not reading my welcome letter where, apparently, it was written. Just having dial 9 for reception written on the phone works for every other hotel in the world. That was the only problem. It is in a very convenient and surprisingly quiet location.

From the first entrance to this hotel I knew I picked the right one for my stay. The concierge Jazz was outstanding in service, going out of her way to help me feel welcome. The lobby was absolutely beautiful and the scent in the air was extremely memorable
