Checking in was very slow and confusing . Rooms were outdated and had toilet issues. The one good thing was the bakery and the lunch was very good, Time to redo all the cottages .

Beautiful setting with great rooms

Great place to stay. Our room was spacious and was quiet. Easy parking. Clean and upgraded. Good breakfast. And we had a great dinner at the same place. We did not expect the following but just to be clear there is No fridge, no microwave and no coffee maker in the room.

Historic property! The property is a bit of a maze if you are not familiar with it. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Very helpful. The rooms are a little dated but this adds to its charm. No microwave or refrigerator are available in the motor coach rooms. There is a restaurant and bake shop on property. People staying get a discount on dining. If dinning, can get a discount on bake shop. Food and bake shop items are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the carrot cake and cheese cake! This property also hosts wedding and multiple types of receptions/ parties. There are unpaved walking trails a short drive away. Very close to the historic Sturbridge Village. Close to Brimfield as well.

I loved the property that faces the road which looks quite quaint, but then the rooms in the back were painted an awful yellow color and the carpet in the room was awful. the porch was cute, but the sliding door would not stay on its track and fell off multiple times, and there were large bugs in the room when we opened the door.

This is our 3rd stay, and we brought our in-laws from Washington state to enjoy the beauty, peace, and quiet that they seem to have here in abundance. It's a quaint retreat, without skimping on comfort or hospitality. The grounds are lovely, which is why there are so many weddings and special occasions booked here every time we come. Definitely going to continue to returning for quiet weekends away from the city!
