The hotel is convenient for travel, however we had to ask a few times for towels, and the water from the sink didn't drain well.

I would have given more points to this hotel given that overall the quality is not bad for what they charge, especially when it comes to cleanliness which was very good. The reasons why I have given them 3 stars is because there were a few things that I didn't like. Leaving aside the fact that the hotel is very basic, I still don't understand why they couldn't include some sort of basic soap in the bathroom, I did come prepared based on a review that I had read beforehand mentioning this issue. The second thing I didn't like was that one evening there was not hot water at all. It was about 8 in the evening and I decided to contact reception (located in the pub), the woman who took the call was not sympathetic at all about the situation, she just tried to give a justification by the fact that in the afternoon a large group of tourists had arrived at the hotel and possibly their boiler could not cope with so many people, all at once using hot water. It was only on my second call that evening that she proposed that if the problem continued in the morning, she would give me a new room. To finish, on my way back home I was unpleasantly surprised that on the date of my arrival, Marston's had charged me again for the full amount of my staying after I had paid already by Expedia. A refund was issued in the end.

The staff at the restaurant were great , very polite and helpful. Though the room , once we got the heater it was warm . The people above the rooms on the floor were loud and noisy, the shower was cool never hot , the toilet flusher was loose and flushed after the third push . It was clean and tidy .

It's a budget chain but it's as good as many "fancier" hotels. The room was warm and clean. The toilet had a loose seat but was clean and the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was not included but was very reasonably priced and well above average in relation to quantity and quality. Staff were really pleasant and operated. The manager looked a bit casual for a person of his position - he woildnt have been the most identifiable staff member in the restaurant if you needed information. That aside he was very pleasant and thecrestaurant seemed well run. I would be happy to make a return visit.

Property was in a good location. Walkable to a shuttle bus to downtown Stirling. Room was good & up to date. Hotel restaurant next door was good but overpriced. There was a good restaurant about 15 minutes away walking.
