No frills stay in State College
More attention to detail in the cleaning is needed, there were towels from previous guests in hooks in bathroom. The door frame was slightly separated from wall, letting in draft. Some renovations were underway. Bed was comfy though and the decor was nice. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient.

At $300 a night this is one of the worst value for the dollar I have ever had. Main door didn’t seal, draft all night, you could break in with butter knife. Bathroom was extremely small, toilet seat was un attached (had to fix it myself). Closet door won’t open or close, track was rusted and unattached to the floor. Our room was outside access in the far back, not real safe for a family with a yiung child. TV was blurry. One positive was new carpet but again the carpet was secured to the floor, lot of air pockets. I think that’s enough.

The hotel is confusing with some rooms accessed inside the hotel and others from the outside. It took us 20 minutes to locate our room. The staff did not send us in the right direction. The room looked renovated and decent bathroom was clean and upgraded as well. Only reason why we stayed.

Badly in need of an update. Room with large window facing hallway?? Impossible to block out the light and the noise. Bed was as hard as a rock and pillows very small and thin and had only three for a king size bed. Platform of bed was made of some cheap metal and very noisy. All of the above combined to make for a very uncomfortable night. 😢

If you want a reasonably priced room during prime PSU football season then stay here. However, the hotel is very old and in disrepair so know that beforehand. It felt dirty as there were many pizza boxes, cigarettes, and trash left outside. We probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Our room had an entrance from the out side. When we got close to our room there was a man passed out in n the side walk in front of our room. We had to literally step over him to get to our room. Called front desk. Finally the police came and removed him. We had our kids with us. Wasn’t great for them to see. Hotel is pretty old. Needs some updates. We survive for the one night we were there. Breakfast was amazing though.
