Me and my husband recently stayed here overnight to celebrate a special Birthday. It was a lovely, clean hotel with a great bar and restaurant area. Pros: A lovely looking hotel,clean and inviting. The food in the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. I would definatly eat here again. The staff were brilliant. They were so helpful and friendly and very hard working. The bed in our room was very comfortable and we were provided with enough tea,coffee, hot chocolate for our stay. Cons: we were driving around for around 30 mins trying to find the carpark from the postcode we were given. We eventually had to leave the car elsewhere and walk up to the hotel. We wernt the only guests that couldnt find the carpark that day. Poor directions and we later found out it was on a different road that the origional postcode took us to. It would benefit the hotel and guests to update this information and make it easier to find. We did try to ring the hotel 4 times to get directions and nobody answered. When arriving at the hotel we did have to wait a good 5 minutes for someone to come and check us in. We still really enjoyed our stay here and would come again, there were just a few little things that could be changed for the better.

The room was spacious - a very big king size bed but there was no bedside lamp on one side. We could also hear noise from other rooms.

Overpriced and clearly complacent
A tired room, small and hideously overpriced considering the condition.. It's been a few months since I've stayed here, in this time the hotel and overall experience has declined. The staff I dealt with were arguably rude, arrogant and opinionated. A real shame it used to be great!

Had an absolutely amazing 1 night stay here. The staff are all so friendly, room was perfect and it is in such a great location. We dined at the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast to. Food was an amazing quality and tasted amazing. Would stay here again!

Beds were really hard and uncomfortable, terrible nights sleep. Breakfast no items left had to keep askign them to refill. Hot food took a long time to come out.

Toilet seat is the wrong size and was very loose, making it uncomfortable to use. The room was on the small size. Other than everything was good. Very convenient location.

We stay quite regularly at the Swan visiting family in Stafford . We find it quite good from service point of you and great location. However for the most part staff do not smile , maybe we are spoilt living in Ireland where staff in hotels are more friendly and the manager would at least acknowledge you particulalry as we are a repeat customer staying upwards of 4 nights at a time !There were a couple of exceptions including the night attendent & one /two bar staff . In terms of food quality the cooked food for breakfast is very good. Rooms are always clean & comfortable although little dated.
