I am not too picky and I am a review reader. After reading the reviews, I thought bluebeard would be perfect for a week vacation. i’m always happy on vacation, so being extra nice to everyone is very easy. The ladies in the store were fantastic and their sandwiches, especially the club! They were super sweet. Get ready for dirty beach towels every day because they never had clean ones for us to exchange our dirty ones, not in the evening and not in the morning. By the end of the week our beach towels were so disgusting. No one ever said hi or asked what room you were staying in or how your stay was going. We had ants in our bathroom, no biggie it wasn’t terrible. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes, the bathroom was well stocked with towels and wash cloths. We did get those picked up one time and got new ones. I don’t know who these people were seeing at the bar that made such good drinks and so friendly, but that was not the case for our entire seven days there, the food and the drinks were terrible at the bar. I didn’t find anyone friendly except for the nice ladies in the store. Everything opens a little late in my opinion, if you have a pool and a bar, I would think the bar would be open by 10, but that is not the case. The room was clean, but it had a little bit of a funky smell to it. I let it air out with the sliding door when we arrived and it was fine the rest of the week. We were there Sunday to Sunday, they did not do a midweek clean.

There were a few nice staff members but for the most part they were rude and ill-tempered. There could be a lot done more with this property if the staff and property were better managed. I wouldn’t advise you to not stay here but caution you as to the experience and as to what level you set your expectations to.

It was really nice place. Great views from our balcony. The food was great. The waiter we had Sunday night was great, he just needed some help. Really great personality. When we come back I’ll be staying at Bluebeards

This is the worst staff of any hotel chain I’ve been to visit. Don’t stay here. This is a dying establishment with a staff that doesn’t care about you, your room or your family.

Great central location,walkable to downtown. Great bar and restaurant , with pool . Only negative was Hotel staff that seemed a bit pre-occupied and indifferent--- they could use some hospitality training (or a raise)!
