The beach shots make you think it is a large beach -the reality is the BEACH is very SMALL. NO RESTRURANT, only a food truck on site - all fried foods. The rate should be $225, not $400 . The bathrooms are vintage 1965 with old sinks and shower - expect the Water to be shut off between 11-2pm. Maintance? The area is poor - avoid staying here.

Wonderful stay

Marina at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating to us. We arrived at the hotel hours before check-in, but were permitted to use the property while we waited for a room to be ready. The heated pool felt amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the Sky Bar had serving staff to bring food and drinks to your location on the beach. Only 15 minutes from Downtown St Pete. We will definitely come back and stay again!

I stayed at SkyBeach Hotel and Marina while going to the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training games. The hotel was perfectly located about 20 minutes from the stadium. It was an easy drive into Sarasota each day, and back to the hotel after the games. There was plenty of parking. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom didn’t appear to be renovated like the rest of the room. However, it was still clean and functional. The AC worked well and had no issues cooling the room, the days I stayed here had high temperatures of 85 degrees. The pools, skybar, and beach area was great, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a trip for spring break. It has 2 pools with large decks with plenty of chairs. The beach area was relaxing and the water was calm. There are pickleball and beach volleyball courts on the property as well. The first floor of the hotel appeared to be under renovation from the hurricane in the fall, the lobby was as well. I’m sure the finished product will be great. To conclude I think the best description would be a hotel that provides a sense of luxury at a reasonable cost. I would stay here again for the current price.

Overall, this was a good stay. I liked the place's setup; the people working there were great. The lack of food options was a bit annoying. Uber Eats easily solved this, but your options are limited if you don't have a car and don't want delivery. However, entertainment was plentiful, and the direct access to the beach was terrific. Some construction is ongoing, but the hotel can't control hurricanes or the damage they cause. So anybody who would hold that against them needs to chill out.

Simple, Cozy, Okay Weekend Stay

Marina at the front was so sweet and friendly! The room was nice and clean and I loved the tiny private beach. There’s no breakfast so you do need to leave daily for food, the sky deck has a limited lunch/dinner menu. My room key was de-activated several times and I was told I could have a late check-out, which wasn’t recorded so on the dot, they shut off your water at check out! Couldn’t wash my hands, brush my teeth. That was kind of shocking, it’s an obvious, “get out!”. All in all, I’d suggest it for a solo traveler passing through for the weekend. I wouldn’t suggest for an extended stay, families, celebrations, ect..

This is a charming place with amazing views. Unfortunately they are recovering from a lot of water damage from last fall's hurricane. But they are working hard to get it back. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We had a gorgeous second floor room with features like a button on the bathroom mirror to keep it from steaming up, and ability to raise the window shade to the balcony from my phone. I can't wait to go back next year and give it a 5-star rating.
