Upon arriving to check in I was told my reservation was cancelled. I was not informed of this at all and upon calling Expedia about this issue they stated I was going to have to pay the full amount as a no show fee, even though I was standing right outside the hotel. Wish I could have given a real review but both Expedia and Sky Beach Hotel dropped the ball and I’m a very unhappy customer. Never booking with Expedia again and will never desire to stay at Sky Beach Hotel ever

Staff was awesome. Would have given a 5-Star overall rating, but the one minus was the adjoining doors in the rooms. Doors are cut 2” short on the bottom and you can hear your neighbors clear as day(and night when someone was snoring and coughing all night). Wouldn’t have been as much of a problem if it was our family in the other room. Just awkward that it was complete strangers we could hear. Pool and beach areas were great, as well as the service at the Sky Bar.

This hotel is fine, I unfortunately had a bad experience booking though Expedia due to payment wasn't transferred and hotel charged me so paid twice, have received the refund, but not the resort fees, so now I'm out $150 still... hope to hear about this soon.

This will be a beautiful resort when the renovations are complete. The pool and beach area are 5 stars! Lots of sitting areas and views. Our room had been renovated but the air conditioner did not function well, if it wasn’t for the ceiling fan we would have been uncomfortable. The toilet kept running and the first night we didn’t have hot water. There was a $70 charge on our bill on check out that the front person couldn’t explain or remove. What started out at $179 per night turned into $270!

Beautiful location but disappointing

The location of the property was beautiful. One of the best in St Petersburg. The staff was friendly and lovely. Unfortunately we were never told that it was badly hit by the last two hurricanes and was under construction. There was no restaurant except the Sky Bar, no breakfast or room service as advertised and a very limited coffee service (coffee shop was under construction. We walked thru construction to get to our room. Our room was moved 3 times. Air conditioning broke and no hot water. Management though very understanding was unwilling to compensate us in any way... no even lunch at the Sky Bar. Once they get their reconstruction done it should be a great place.

Nice place with great people working there

This place was very nice overall. We didn't realize they were still doing significant renovations so some things were not available. If you stay here, you'll need a car to go anywhere. There is nothing in walking distance. The best part was the staff. One particular security lady was absolutely wonderful and everyone else was friendly and helpful. They all really made something they could have just been ok into something much better.

the property was not ready, due to storm damage, for guests. the doors were swollen - fire hazard- and we had to shoulder our way to get the door open and jerk- pull (almost couldn’t get it open) the door to get out. the curtains were filthy and there was rust on the chain security lock. certainly not a place i would return to. hoping they get the property back to its online resort like promotion..it is a beautiful property.

Beautiful spot! New owners opened in July then the hurricane hit. They are working so hard to get it all open in May. Everyone was so nice. Beach was pristine! Food truck has great food.

The property description and pictures are deceptive. We checked out after the second night ..it was too noisy .. They refused to return our payment for longer stay. I'm going back to using primary reservation at hotels, like Bonvoy, since Expedia does't seem to have interest in taking care of their customers and allow themselves to be snowed.

First I want to say THAN YOU SkyBeach hotel and marina. My fiancé and I stayed for our 7 year anniversary and the staff was so SWEET to us and made our stay amazing, and special they are the absolute best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The manager marina is the absolute best! I cannot say enough good about this spot, they’re currently renovating but that didn’t affect our stay at all. The marina was beautiful and our room was great and you can tell it is newly renovated, the marina was beautiful and if you wake up early enough you can walk to the marina and there maybe dolphins swimming, playing and hunting there. We walked down to just take it all in before we left and had the surprise to see 7-10 dolphins doing there thing and it was so fun and wonderful to end the trip on. This place is a great stay and we will be back and I also recommend staying to everyone who sees this review. I don’t usually leave reviews but I did for this place because between the staff, hotel, and location this was amazing for us. THANK YOU again Skyebeach, I appreciate you guys SOOOOO much!!!!!
