Paid initial payment through Expedia and had balance “pay at property “. When we arrived earlier for check in I was advised that full payment for stay had to be paid and the first payment was a deposit of one night stay in case we didn’t show up and would be held until after check out on 04/11 and then credited back ( it’s 04/17 and have not seen a return to date) Resort check in time is 4pm and we were advised that we would be notified if room was ready early.. at 4:15 we had to go back to desk to see what happened. We were advised that room was cleaned but needed to be checked by staff. 4:35 we got into room. Next morning just before 9am we were greeted with heavy construction noise on rooms just below us ocean view. There was no mention of this at check in and they continued each day 9-5. Housekeeping was marginal at best and we decided not to have them clean and did it ourselves after it took the single lady 8 hours to clean 5 rooms. Positive side is that if/when construction finishes in 6 months or so and they hire more housekeeping it will be a decent place to stay, for us we won’t take the chance again.

You literally have to use your cell phone to call the hotel to get the front desk for service. When you try to use the phone that’s in the room just busy signals. One of the elevators was broken and guests saved seats at the pool with a sign that states it’s prohibited. I’ve stayed in nicer rooms for a lot less. Will not go back there.

Half of Sirata is owned by Hilton now, and the transition is very messy. There is rumblings of other hotels taking over their other buildings, so they are not updating those. Building 4 is old, one elevator for the entire building and phones are inoperable and not being fixed. One of the beach bars and restaurants is only open Thurs-Sun and the other restaurant is closed. The only open bar/restaurant closes early (10:00 or 11:00) every night along with all fire pits. We were there a week and more than half the kid activities were not happening (no show no heads up), which is super disappointing if you have kids. I’d pay slightly more and stay down a few doors at Tradewinds. Only one of the front desk workers is kind and helpful. One is a huge jerk and the other cannot help with anything.

Nice hotel being updated

We had a wonderful time. We requested an updated room, and we got one. Very clean and wonderful view of the ocean from our balcony. All staff was very friendly. Only minor down side was they can be a little slow to deliver extra bedding or towels. One morning there was jack hammering that starter at 8am but we knew they are in the middle of upgrading the hotel and theres construction workers around during the week. Wasnt too disturbing tho.

Renovated room resulting in daily room issues…ie…no hot water, broken shower handle resulting in not being able to turn water off, toilet seal needed to be replaced after 4 days of sewer smell in room. Prior to our stay, communication with booking staff was inconsistent. I booked 4 rooms this year, so called 3-4 different times, each time getting a new answer. When we arrived, the arrangements were not as requested, however, it all worked out. Rum Runners, housekeeping, Fiona at the front desk were amazing!

We arrived at the Serata Inn to realize they were still under renovations from the storms. We used our shower which started to fill with water and the toilet gurgled at the same time. They moved our room because of the plumbing issue. We stayed on the street side of the hotel which is very noisy. The next day we found out the beach chairs and umbrellas were not complimentary but would cost 56$ a day🤔. When we checked out we found out there was a 25$ a day charge for a parking spot! I found these extra charges a bit cheesy and they were not upfront with this info when we checked in. The positives were great weather and a beautiful beach!

We enjoyed the location, two pools on the property, and ease to get on and off the beach. We didn't appreciate the dirty floors upon check-in, as well as missing sheets, blankets, and pillowcases for the bunk beds and hand soap for the bathroom. It took two calls to get all the things we needed. The night manager also barged into our room with no warning around 11:45pm the first night and just said "I'm sorry" when he realized the room was occupied. I called down to the front desk (using my own phone, the room phone only gave me a busy signal) and he answered and said he didn't think it was occupied and apologized again.

My room had no shower curtain. Cleaning staff happened to be in the room and reported the probem. it took staff 24 hours to get one. Interior phone did not work. My rm was in Building 4 , 2 Elevators serviced Bldg 4. One was broken without any signs on it and the other kept on breaking. Running up 6flts of stairs wasn't any fun. Plus the Hotel itself is ion a transition phase to Hilton. The quality has to be improved

The mattresses are extremely firm. We were in bldg 4 and one elevator was not working the three days and the second elevator was totally hit or miss. Carrying everything up and down the stairs was not fun. We had friends eat dinner at the tiki bar. They were seated right away. From when they sat down, it was 1 hr 45 minutes until they got their food. It appeared the bar tenders had favorite customers and others would wait and wait for service. The bathrooms near the bar were lacking paper towels and the men's bathroom had an overflowing toilet issue. We did mention the bathroom situation to staff and they took care of it immediately.
