Bad Hotel Practices

Staff was great, hotel in bad need of refurbishment. Hotel policies terrible. They scan drivers lic on checkin. No protection against ID theft as a result could be shown. This policy should be listed on booking sites. Also, guest banding for pool use policies are extreme.

Toni at the front desk went above and beyond! We arrived well before check in and I just expected to be able to drop our luggage off and come back but Toni noticed my daughter was very tired and upset and she got us into our room immediately so my daughter could nap! Thank you Toni! You saved our day! The room was great and the beach, pool and service was excellent!

My five year-old son got terrible burns all over his body from chemicals in the pool and hot tub. I spoke with the manager and all they said was sorry.

They didn't give me the room I rented supposedly with an ocean view; they made up that the same thing always happened when they used the application. I told them that if they didn't give me the room I wouldn't come back and I was going to give a bad review. In addition, they charge for chairs and umbrellas on the beach; it should be a service. Check-in was a bit unpleasant. The parking voucher was very friendly and the cleaning service was very good. The hotel is nice, but the customer service at the front desk was poor.

My only complaint is the noise at night. The gas station across the street, when the truck comes to refill the station it sounds off an alarm that ran straight for almost 2 hours, and this was around 230 am.

The atmosphere is vibrant, the views are stunning, and the entire resort has an upbeat, welcoming vibe that instantly puts you in vacation mode. A huge shoutout to Toni at check-in,she was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, Toni made us feel like VIPs from the start. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay started off on the right foot, answering our questions with a smile and giving us great tips about the resort and surrounding area. Her positive energy set the tone for the whole trip.Our kids had a blast, from splashing in the pool and playing on the beach to dancing to the live music in the evenings, there was never a dull moment. It’s not always easy to find a place that’s fun for both adults and kids, but Shephard’s nailed it.The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beach was beautiful, and the live music and poolside fun made every day feel like a party. Whether you’re lounging on the sand, grabbing a drink at the bar, or just soaking in the vibe, Shephard’s has something for everyone.We’re already planning our next trip back and hoping Toni is there to welcome us again!

Everything was awesome. We enjoyed the pool, beach, and live music! The rooms are also very spacious and clean. The only issue we had was getting service at the tiki bar for dinner(around 645). After waiting at a table for over 30 minutes we asked a server for menus twice and he just never came back. We finally ordered food and drinks through the bartenders who were great!
