Filthy ice machines on guest floors. Staff was un accommodating and not helpful. Very limited dining, no breakfast room service. TV in room didn’t work and Steve would do nothing to help. The casino, however, was great. Casino floor staff and floor managers were also very friendly and knowledgeable. I’m only posting negative review about the hotel side.

Our stay at River City Casino Hotel was decent, but a few issues kept it from being a perfect experience. The room itself was lovely—spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and featured a gorgeous luxury shower and a super comfortable bed with high-quality bedding. However, there were some drawbacks that left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. First, the unexpected deposit required at check-in was a surprise and not clearly communicated beforehand. Additionally, the television didn’t work for our entire stay. When we contacted the front desk, they informed us that the satellite or cable provider was down and couldn’t give an estimate of when it would be restored. After some trial and error, I discovered I could connect my phone to stream content, but it would have been nice if the front desk had offered this as a suggestion—most guests might not realize it’s an option. While the room itself was comfortable, it lacked basic amenities one might expect from an upscale casino hotel. There was no bottled water, snacks, or beverages provided. Even the toiletries were full-sized with little price tags on them, which seemed more like a convenience-store setup than a luxury hotel touch. For the price point and setting, a few complimentary items like travel-sized lotions or waters would go a long way. On the plus side, the front desk staff was reasonably polite and efficient. They assured us that the deposit would be returned within 24 to 72

Hidden gem ~ diamond in the rough...
A hidden gem when on the road for long hrs... Was able to check-in, take a hot shower get some food for the soul: Pho. Then gamble a little while I didn't win this time... It's was worth coming back to.

Don't Stay Here!
We booked 2 connecting rooms and even confirmed this when checking in. They were not connecting! Also i called to confirm all restaurants were open. One awful restaurant was open with over an hour wait time. We ordered to go and ate in our rooms. Three of us got our order after about 30 minutes but the other two waited over an hour so we didnt even get to eat together. Only three of us went to the casino after all of this mess only to discover we had to sign up to be members in order to play Black Jack plus $25. We should have stayed at Ameristar.

Nice property, but it’s located away from the downtown and sports activity areas, as well as the airport (25-30 miles). Also a $50!cab ride from the airport.
