Back at the moonrise.

Hotel seems a little under staffed at times. Valet parking unattended once and unlocked. Had to get my own car once. Front desk at checkout was unsympathetic to my concerns about paying for valet. Overall safety seems less than usual. A lot of loitering folks, dumpster diving folks, tho nothing bad happened. It’s a busy area with shows and security seemed loose.

The staff is really excellent and friendly, and the rooms are nice, although mine could have used more careful dusting (not a big deal). I appreciated that my cat and I were given a room with a nice big window, which the cat loved. Be aware that self-parking is very limited; I had to do valet because there were no spots when I arrived after 9 p.m. on a Sunday.

Weekday getaway!

Check in was fine, the lady was nice. However, upon arrival to our room, the bathroom walls were all dirty- or scuffed? I’m not sure. I didn’t want to touch them 😬 it just felt very icky. The room was clean, and bed comfy. We liked that it was quiet and enjoyed the quiet hallway. We went to the rooftop bar- and the bartender was very friendly and nice. Drinks were strong. However the music was ALL over the place. There were also people smoking pot outside and smelled EXTREMELY strong which made us very uncomfortable. We were able to watch the Blues game on tv so that was nice I doubt we will stay here again. It was just a little too much that made us feel uncomfortable

I don’t understand how this hotel has a rating of 9.0. I chose this place based on the reviews, but it was honestly the worst. The hotel was overall very old and dirty. The bedding wasn’t properly prepared, and there were unflushed remains in the toilet. There were also dirty food stains on the wall near the bathroom trash can, likely from people throwing garbage. I stayed here for two nights, and it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Cute boutique hotel steps away from The Pageant Theater that can’t be beat if in town for a show. Space themed art collection throughout lobby. Great staircase and lobby. Carpets could use a very good vacuuming, especially in the hallways. Suite was huge, comfortable and quiet. Stayed two nights. Went to Pin Up Bowling across the street for late night pizza and a quick game. Very reasonably priced. Another amazing pin up and bowling memorabilia collection and a pretty darn good pizza. Weed store next to hotel was having a sale on ounces and half ounces and the night before the sale and when we arrived, the entire hotel smelled like everyone was smoking everywhere. Concluded it had to be all those ounces because once the weed store opened the smell was gone. Drinks at bar were good and the view from the rooftop is fun. Went to the breakfast place across the street. Delicious coffee and huge serving for breakfast. Scott at front desk was helpful and valet guys were awesome. Zero issues parking with the valet. From the rooftop, we did see guys dressed liked ninjas checking cars in the free lot during a show at the pageant, so spring for the valet and the gated lot. Would stay here again if in town for a show at The Pageant.

Great space and location!

This boutique hotel is a gem! It’s fun and space exploration themed but not kitschy. The staff are so friendly and professional. It was the perfect location in Delmar, within walking distance of the metro, restaurants and CVS. The room was spacious and well maintained. I only wish there was somewhere to hang things in the room, as there was no closet or rack to hang clothing on. Usually when I’m traveling, I’d prefer to hang clothes instead of putting them in a drawer.

The check in desk staff was fantastic, friendly and gave me all the information I needed. The only complaint was the cleaning staff knocking on our door three different times between 730am-11am when we had the do not disturb sign on. Otherwise, would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Moonrise Hotel. The rooftop bar/seating is awesome when the weather is nice. Eclipse Restaurant has polite staff and fresh food. We enjoyed breakfast very much. We walked the loop and hit all the shops and local restaurants. We stayed in the King Suite and we highly recommend. The only thing missing was robes. Shouldn't be a big deal, but would've been nice to have in the room. I have nothing but good things to say. We will definitely go back.

Out of this world

Fantastic place to stay in the University area, several theaters nearby for concert/shows, and Forrest Park is nearby. Downtowm is 10 min drive. Hotel ambiance is great, staff is friendly, valet available & has own lot for easy parking behind hotel. The rooftop bar is great to check out & food is good. Lots of thimgs to do nearby like bowling, mini golf, and local shops/boutiques. Iconic place - celebrities were there during my stay.

Amazing small hotel with larger hotel amenities. Great bar and restaurant on the ground floor with a rooftop bar on the roof. It is a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay.
