From the standpoint of the building, there were some awesome things. The staff was wonderful, the foyer and former bank aesthetics were awesome, very cool, we took lots of pictures. The room was frankly very mid. Our HVAC did not work properly the entire time we were there, even after engineering took a look at it. The bathroom was terrible. The workmanship was so bad, I have seen apprentice workers do better, grout stains and marks on the floor, pee colored grout all over in the shower, on the ceiling. Discolorations from probably overflowed toilets, rust stains, good lord. The wallpaper was poorly installed, with the seams separating and bubbling in the inside corners. It was very distracting from the rest of the hotel. The damn TV was in setup/demo mode the whole time with no way to fix an annoying information bar along the sides of the TV while trying to watch news in the mornings. The rest of the room was fine. Breakfast was good, the small store was pretty well stocked. I had high hopes for this property and there were certainly disappointments.

Nice hotel in Downtown St. Louis within walking distance of the Arch and not far from sports facilities. Good breakfast buffet. Street is noisy though (we were on the second floor.)

Loved that there was a comfortable chair in the room. Did not like the morning coffee options. Fortunately, there was a starbucks a few minutes away. But it was a hassle to have to walk to get a decent coffee.

I stayed one night. I usually enjoy Hilton properties. They charged a 75 dollar fee, which was a lot all considering. Upon entering the only working elevator to my floor, I was greeted by a living cockroach checking himself out in the left elevator on the left hand side of the mirror in the elevator. I told staff, and they paid no attention. I went downstairs to get my guest after checking in, the cockroach was happily crawling up the left hand side mirror…20 minutes later. My guest has to check his car, and had to pay a second 75 dollar hold, in addition to his 39 dollar parking space. For the expensive breakfast, they sure didn’t choose to use any salt. My 18 dollar omelette lacked flavor. Like I said, only one elevator worked, there is a roach infestation, and not to mention the fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Also, the desk lamp was broken. Save your money, go to a holiday inn instead. Oh yeah, and they only had one waitress covering the entire breakfast rush. I came in at 10, wasn’t seated until 10:15 because the tables were all dirty. I’ll never stay at this hotel again.
