Did not stay here ended up getting a room at another hotel. This property is not advertised correctly on the internet. The rooms are disgusting. Peeling paint on walls. Carpets are very stained and bedding needs to be replaced.

Room was dated, but clean. Has shampoo and body wash available also a hair dryer. These are things I wasn't sure would be there. Breakfast had juice, coffee, yogurt, apples, cereal, milk, waffles and sausage. Ok for a quick bite to eat but not a lot of variety. Staff helpful and friendly.

I liked: 1. Location of the property. 2. Room had balcony from which I could view the Michigan lake. 3. Price was reasonable which includes the breakfast. 4. Non smoking rooms, did not the smell in and around. Could improve: 1. I felt a microwave would be a better to add into the room facility. The property seems to be a bit old.

Great northern Michigan hotel
We stayed for 2 nights the had a small but decent breakfast. Rooms were clean and the shower had great hot water. It was in a great location. Would definitely stay there again

The rooms smelled so bad. We tried to air them out but it did not help. The sheets smelled of mold. The room needs serious maintenance. The breakfast was ok. I would advise to stay somewhere else and pay the extra money for a franchise hotel. If not sleep in your car.

Did not like condition of property. Old scratched furnishings, small bathroom, poor lighting in shower, water gushed out of sink faucet, TV only had 4 channels until I figured out how to do a 20 minute cable scan in the set up menu. Very small balcony, sliding door screen came out of its track every time you opened it. Horrible pillows. Few breakfast selections and poorly restocked.

What reservations showed were two queen sized beds. Actually they turned out to be two double beds. Was one chair in the room. No skin lotion available. Breakfast was mediocre. One major plus was the shuttle to the ferry each morning.

We loved the spaciousness of the overall property. We appreciated the extra amenities like a fire pit, lawn games, view of the shoreline. Staff was very friendly and the check in and out process were easy. The rooms are dated, but overall were fairly clean.

Everyone was very nice. Food was good but would loved to have more options. We stayed 6 nights and had the same thing every morning. Clean was room. Had a view of the lake across the street.

We were a bit disappointed in our room, considering the price. The outside of the hotel had been well-maintained for its age, and there is a lot of nice, green area. The pool and hot tub were very nice, but we had to cross the yard and go down stairs to get to it. The room was dated and very small, but clean. I felt like one of those ads that said "I only paid ____ for my room." We paid $120+ with tax, and checked the next day and the rooms were $80! I felt a little cheated.
