All of the employees were so helpful and kind. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the bonfire pit, but it was set up so beautifully with Adirondack chairs. We looked forward to the the hot tub, but was closed for repairs.

Beds were not comfortable at all, advertised a pool and hot tub but hot tub was not working and didn't look like it would be for a while, came back from mackinac island to have complaints of loud noise and fighting against us when we had just got back. Free breakfast was blah, charged full orice for ferry tickets when they advertised discounted tickets, Don't think we'll be staying there again.

Great hotel for a very reasonable price. Only complaints are that the room was over 80 degrees when we got there and it took over an hour to cool down. Only other thing I was a bit disappointed about was that I booked a pet room under the impression that the cost of having a pet was including in the cost considering no where on the rooms page did is say there was a $30 per fee added ontop of the cost. Only to find out when checking in there was an extra fee which I then had to dig on there website to find the fine print.

They told us that the pool was being worked on but i think it would be better to tell people that your pool is broke instead of saying will call you when they are done fixing it just be honest with people

The location is great and overall it was a nice place to stay. The staff could do a better job at placement of guests. My significant other and I were placed on a floor that had some kind of large group family vacation. The family had multiple rooms and we were placed right in the center of them. We were there for a romantic getaway - the entire weekend was filled with screaming children running up and down the halls day and night until 2-3am. In addition they were knocking on our door and running away and blasting a Bluetooth speaker at the bottom of our door in the middle of the nights. The parents were nowhere to be found and not being held accountable for the actions of their children. Unfortunately nothing was done by the hotel management or staff either. It made us sad. This was our first trip to Michigan and our first experience in the area. I feel like this could have been a wonderful memory if the hotel staff would have just put a little bit a thought in to the placement of their guests. It seems that common sense would tell you not to put a coupe without children on a floor full of a large family reunion of people with several rooms and tons of young children. Unfortunately first impressions are everything and I don’t think we would return here in the future :(

Well short of expectations

Disappointing. Room was large with king-sized bed, shower and tub were ok. Carpet was dirty, wifi wasn't working. We arrived for the free breakfast (available from 7 to 10) at 9 to find there was nothing edible left, so we went to McDonald's. 4 dogs in backyard of house on property were barking incessantly

Great staff on a property that is large with many amenities. Breakfast is better than average and location is convenient to the city and island. Negatives were no microwave, and bathroom drains that were sluggish. A great value and reasons to return to this location when you are staying in the area.
