Despite booking ahead, we were given a room with the view of the lake obstructed by the restaurant at the back of the building. I was recovering from surgery and had planned to hang out in the room resting in bed, but at that angle, I could not see Lake Huron. In addition, the noise level in this room was terrible, which we later concluded was in part by the heavily spring loaded doors which slammed hard that the floor shook. The other issue I had was my room was across the hall from a service closet and there was someone in it at 5:50 am banging around. Also housekeeping seemed to congregate there periodically and they were right outside my door. I took my concerns to the front desk and was told that I should have contacted the concierge, but only after 11pm as noise was permissible up to
then. At check out, the same woman who took my complaint saiid she had tried to contact me to let me know another room had opened. We were there for 2 days and 3 nights and there were no missed calls on any of our phones. I will not return.
