No way a ‘Luxury’ hotel…food is ok but over priced, rooms be careful some ‘large doubles’ pushed together with a ridge…everything is about the money here. We won’t be going back!

Beautiful location, lovely lodge. Staff great but information is not provided at check in. Told to download an app but info contained within it is vague, some is out of date such as New Years. Told we would need to book meals in the restaurant using the app. Booked dinner reservation ( food is amazing and Emma our waitress was superb ) but couldn’t book breakfast so went back to reception to enquire about it.Reception advised children eat breakfast free and you don’t need to book just turn up before 10am. Brilliant we thought - except when we got to breakfast before we could even pour a coffee a bill was placed on our table. Never had a bill before a meal in a hotel before and we weren’t in Nando’s but I thought ok I will pay it now then eat,Upon reading it we had been each adult and charged for children. I quietly advised a waitress that we were told kids eat breakfast free. She said she would get the bill amended- instead a couple of minutes later a woman came out shouting in front of other guests that we must pre-book to have kids eat free and if we did pre book then adults would pay less too. I politely told her nothing was explained but she simply would not have any of it and continued to cause a scene. Reluctantly she took the children’s charges off but wouldn’t reduce the adult charges. My wife told me she will deal with it quietly after we had left restaurant area as our children were visibly shaken. Breakfast times ruined a lovely holiday.

Booked last minute and glad we did. Had an early check in, room was clean and view from balcony was great. We used the spa, which was also clean and relaxing Peaceful location to relax and unwind, would recommend to others and look to return again.

Lovely room, very clean & comfortable. Beautiful surroundings. Would recommend the spa. Very relaxed atmosphere and very good value for money. We only had breakfast once during our stay but there was plenty of choice and the hot buffet was fresh. We have stayed before and would definitely return.

We had the misfortune of a broken fridge. If we had noticed it earlier i dare say it would have been rectified but unfortunately our items for our picnic we had planned were ruined. The staff were happy to provide one but ww declined.

3 night stay

The property was great, we had booked a deluxe double room which was on the 2nd floor and had views of the small woodland area. The room was nice sized and very comfortable. We had free access to the Spa, which was alright. Lots of kids in the swimming pool and clear signs on dos and donts for the sauna so people were entering with plastic slippers, walking boots and also bringing plastic water bottles inside - this can definitely improve. Maybe add a separate kids pool area so adults can enjoy the spa and have some clear rules for using sauna. Breakfast was good and the property decor was modern and fresh. The property does NOT have EV chargers so beware. The nearest one at ASDA is very slow and often out of order. For a property this size I would say its worth installing few EV chargers. St Austell lacks good restaurants. Short distance is Charlestown which has some amazing resturants around a beautiful harbour.
