Just okay

This hotel was ok. It was old and not updated. Bathroom was tiny, if my husband had been there he would not have been able to close the door to use the restroom. There are no elevators so our friend recovering from a broken knee had to use stairs. Beds were quite comfy but pillows were the lumpiest I’ve ever seen. Restaurant is only open for breakfast on the weekends. How many people are really at the hotel to eat lunch. The food was delicious when we finally got to eat there. There were some local regulars eating there so that is a good sign. Lobby had a nice new coffee maker that the staff are not sure how to use and it didn’t work half the time. It is NOT within a reasonable walking distance to anything. Restaurants are on the other side of a very busy road. Downtown is way too far and across several busy roads. I would not stay there again.

You get what you pay for is the old saying. My room had small cosmetic issues that needed to be repaired correctly not patched up. Looks like a recent poor remodel job on a budget. The rooms where clean. The staff was attentive to help people. The parking was good but yes there was a charge (most do) but this should have been a perk with the lack quality of the rooms and no continental breakfast. It was ok.

The building itself is dated but in decent condition. Lukewarm water in the shower both days we were there! There is a heavy freight line(train track) not maybe 35 yards from the building - the building vibrates/shakes every time a train goes by, on our first night, that was every 2 hours!! The second night wasnt so bad - every 3 hours!! We wouldve stayed elsewhere but the room was prepaid a month out. We wont be back.

It was an affordable stay that was about 10 minutes away from the main area for dining and experiences. Nothing flashy, and the room was reasonably comfortable, albeit outdated.
