Good Place for the Money
The room had a small coffee pot, microwave, and small refrigerator. The hot breakfasts were also very nice. No phones in the rooms, though, so no way to call the front desk, and no way to call friends in other rooms unless both parties had cell phones and were able to use them.

It was a very outdared hotel. It hasnt been renovated since the 70s. Shower works well for petite to small build people. I didnt fit, 6 ft tall. But it does the job for a few nights. Didnt make it to breakfast, it is offered. Dog friendly a plus.

Southern Oaks Inn, No, no, no
The company agreed to a price for our overnight stay. When we arrived at 4:00 PM we were told there was an additional fee attached to our bill. I objected and they said to take it up with Hotels.com. I asked to speak with the manager. They said no manager was on site. Perhaps tomorrow-maybe not. Since I could not cancel I was stuck with this outrageous fee for which I received nothing but bad mouth. My suggestion is for visitors to go down the street a short distance and find a room in a different hotel that does not charge an extra $25 for nothing that I want.

We didn't ask for a ground floor room, it's our fault. Next time I'll ask for a ground floor room, it's getting harder to climb stairs. Maybe you should have at least one firm pillow. I know I should have asked. Next time.

The entire staff were all wonderful. very clean especially for pet friendly. We don't have pets and you would never know that a pet was ever in the room. the breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again.

Shuttle to historic district saves a ton of time and money trying to park. Runs every 30 minutes!! Super dog friendly though i didn't bring mine this time. Clean, modest accommodations. Would recommend for price.

Staff was very accommodating only thing is that if you have difficulty going up steps try to get a ground floor room due to the fact they do not have elevator access but we had a very helpful front desk lady named Gabo who managed to get a bottom floor room the next day which made the rest of the stay so much easier and the breakfast has a nice verity to choose from and they provide a complementary shuttle service to and from the Saint Augustine historic district which is great because parking can be difficult to find. Best trip has always stay about five times great location highly recommended

Great place to stay in St Augustine.
I was expecting less, but our stay and experience was beyond expectations.The staff was amazing, breakfast was very good and the shuttle service was a very convenient plus. This is a charming old Florida hotel that has ben renovated and is beautiful as well as comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
