We got a phone call on our way asking if we would switch rooms. Sure, not a problem. She let us know we could choose a sofa and chips off the sundries table for our troubles. When we arrived, we got our room cards and they didn’t work. Took them back to the desk, waited in a long line and he ran them again. Tried again and they didn’t work. My husband took back the key card and came back shortly and again they didn’t work. He went back again and front desk gave him new cards. This time they worked. The decor was older and wore out but mostly clean. The air wasn’t working too well so in the middle of the night I got up to turn it down and the floor in front of the cooling unit was wet. There has been lots of rain so I wasn’t sure if it was rain or the cooling unit. When we went to check out I asked about the chips and soda and the lady at the front desk didn’t really want to honor the gift but she did.

Staff were helpful, but this hotel needs some important updates. Toilet wasn't filling, water pressure in shower was just above a drizzle, beds were bouncy and sagged, sheets were rough and pillows were as hard as a sofa cushion. The hotel was at maximum capacity so changing rooms wasn't an option, but staff really did try to work out the problem and sent someone to fix the toilet filling problem the next morning.
