I reserved room with 2 queen beds, upon arrival I was told they only had room with 1 bed. When I got to room it was a full size bed not even a king. I had to go back to front desk and he stated that’s all they had left. Then he took a phone call and started helping another customer. Another receptionist asked if he could help me and I told him the problem and he did offer me a king room even though that is not what I reserved. He said they must have given those out during day shift.

Needs upkeep, not worth the price.
Run down. For the price you would think they would upkeep this hotel better. The room was falling apart. Chipped ceiling, damaged tub, broken bathroom lock, dirt in corners. The upper balcony had broken tiles that were uncomfortable to walk on. It was in an overall rough state. I'm tired of hotels asking premium prices, but not putting that money into maintaining their hotel.

We had a room block for a wedding party and when we arrived even after speaking to the staff on two different occasions to make sure a room would be ready our rooms were not ready. We were unable to shower and get dressed and missed the wedding.

Overall a good stay at the Crowne Plaza Springfield, IL. Cool old hotel and conference center. Double queen room was clean, remodeled, comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast staff were friendly, for the most part, but pressured us to eat fast & closed buffet prior to end time. Pictures showed a hot tub. The hot tub was permanently covered and unavailable for use. Unsure why.
