We had a good time, there was a stain on the bed sheet and I found a gross hair tie on the floor, they nickel and dime you for everything, so you can’t watch anything with out being charged, they need to re do the walls and the ceiling in pool area looks like it may come down at any moment. The robes in the room I was excited for but they were ripped and scratchy. They charge a 20$ collectors fee….. literally means a fee for nothing and then give you a 20$ voucher for food or drink. The history of the place is awesome .

Beautiful but over priced & over rated
The Historic Davenport has been a favorite for many years but over the years it’s become over priced and over rated. Sadly, it’s just not the same. While still beautiful, the exorbitant fee’s ($35 valet, $25 early check in fee - which we did not do) and a standard room for $280+, just isn’t practical, especially during the holiday season. Upon check in I requested that we not be put on the side of the train tracks, like we were the last two stays. Request ignored or denied… train side again. Staff seems to be on auto pilot not caring. The new coffee & pastry shop is beautiful.. service was terrible & staff unfriendly. How about a “good morning” or “how are you”. Overall a very disappointing stay. Will definitely check out our options the next time we plan to stay in Spokane.

We have visited before and really enjoyed it. This time was unpleasant. We came during an annual Christmas event. I know that it would be busy but, given the amount of times that the event occurred, had expected them to be better prepared. We were unable to order room service during our stay although others on our floor received the service. They were always too busy. We ordered Domino's, and they were awesome. We also were given many K-cups of coffee with only one sugar, one creamer, and two cups for the weekend. We called and were told several times that they would restock. Nothing ever happened. When we checked out, we were told that there were many complaints about service for the weekend, and it did not really seem to matter to the front desk. He did not even ask us about our stay. That being said, the building is beautiful. Always. The trees were a wonderful attraction, and the valet service was professional and attentive. Everyone was polite. I will not stay there in the future if an event is being held. I honestly felt our stay was overpriced and underwhelming.

We arrived at 2 and check in time is at 4.00. We were staying the night before having surgery the next morning. I was in a lot of pain. Our room was ready but we were told we could have early access for $25.00 extra! If the hotel had to make special accommodation or find an available room that may have been acceptable. In any event, we waited for two hours and then got access to our room. Also the valet parking which was advertised at $25.00 was actually $35.00. Well done Historic Davenport. You increased your income by $5.00 and we waited until 4.00 for our room in a local restaurant where we spent $80.00!

The hotel was great, but the restaurant was terrible. I ordered the NY strip, $60. It was thin, thinner that a hamburger patty! It was chewy and vild. We also ordered an appetizer, but it did not come next morning ordered breakfast, eggs were cold and the hashbroens chey and stale. The salmon was slimey. I will return to the hotel, but I will nevwr eat there again.

This property is racist me and my cousins were talking in our room and they sent Security tell us to keep it down because we were loud how is a normal conversation loud if your a person of color do not there.

I was so excited to stay at the Historic Davenport, I've stayed at the other ones. Unfortunately, it was more than disappointing. Our bed was slanted where our feet were higher than our heads and we had a terrible nights sleep. There was a pair of socks at the end of the bed that were NOT ours. And our sink wouldn't drain. I'm so sorry to say that we didn't enjoy our stay.
