I didn't get to stay there we were tired and we have a service dog and nowhere on their site did it say we couldn't bring our service dog and I booked the room and we just wanted to go to bed and he sat there arguing with me saying we couldn't bring our service dog in there and I said well you could have mentioned that on the website but nowhere does it say anything about it and I told him he's being very discriminating. So the Howard Johnson there on division in Spokane Washington I would give a negative five too but hotels.com was great even though it was non-refundable they went ahead and got us a room and at a really nice place I'm trying to think of what it was called but anyways it was a really beautiful place and it was more money than what the Howard Johnson's was and they paid the difference because Howard Johnson then the person there then told hotels.com that I he didn't tell me I couldn't have a service dog there and lied to her so I don't know what was going on there but be very careful because it when you buy a non-refundable they just take the money and run I guess not hotels.com but Howard Johnson

I’m surprised I survived and there were no crackheads sleeping in the moving truck I rented in the morning. Time will tell if I picked up any diseases!
Took a long time to check in and several people were waiting even longer than me to try and check in. Not user friendly at all. Had to use a screen with a guy working 2,000 miles away. Not recommended if you need a quick check-in.
Although the room was paid in advance, we were told no room was available when attempting to check in. No help was offered to rectify their huge mistake.
Hotels.com has been non-responsive to requests to mediate a solution.

The check in process was ridiculously bad. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to have an out of country person check in, but it was a lousy experience flat out…otherwise good room and area
When I booked this, I didn't get the impression that it was a motel, but it is, a quite nice little motel. Contactless check-in thru a video kiosk. Nice roomy room, comfortable beds, clean & quiet place, right off Division St.. Yummy Texas Roadhouse is a couple blocks away.
I wasn’t terribly pleased to see that they hire people overseas to man the kiosk automated booth instead of a local person.

Weird kiosk video check-in with someone in Chicago who was polite and made an effort but spoke poor hard to understand English.
Th didn’t work first two nights. Getting actual on-site service was hit and miss but very helpful when they arrived.
Also, the toilet wouldn’t flush the first time and had to request service.
Location & availability was what was right.
The 'Zoom like' remote check-in was the worst I ever experienced. The "clerk" was nice enough, but the impersonal nature was too much. I doubt I'll stay here again.
The hotel rooms look far better on the website than they did in reality. While the room appeared clean, it was in desperate need of some TLC. On top of that, the smell was unbearable. I ultimately decided not to stay, even though I had prepaid and lost my money.
The check-in process only made matters worse — it was done via video with a representative who had a strong accent, making communication extremely difficult. This added to an already frustrating experience. Offering free popcorn and cookies doesn’t justify the steep price tag and only felt like an insult.
I’m deeply disappointed. I’ve come to expect a higher standard from the Howard Johnson Wyndham chain. This experience has certainly made me more cautious when selecting a hotel. I regret relying on the brand’s reputation and my past positive experiences without checking reviews for this particular location in Spokane. Lesson learned.
Im very disappointed in the check in process as i sat in front waiting for a key to get in my room for over an hour, until someone showed up. Their was like 4 guest waiting behind me as well and a couple of men in front of me telling me that the service is terrible. I am more upset because we missed part of my daughters basketball game, waiting to check in. We were not comped nothing for the lack of customer service. What a waste of time.
