Overall it was decent I mean you get what you pay for. Water pressure in the shower (in my room) was like spraying a water hose with a hole in it. Minus that and the stuffy smell room was fine. The breakfast could use some major work.

Overall, please!

To be honest, it was a busy time for us. We came in, showered, watched a bit of TV and went to bed. It was clean, smelled clean and the beds were decently comfy. Price was really reasonable for that area.

Nice stay, for the money.

The hotel was in a convenient location. It’s a non-smoking hotel, but you can tell that the rooms were smoked in many years ago. We only noticed it when first arriving and then it quickly faded and we didn’t think about it anymore - it’s almost to be expected in older hotels that have been updated like this though. The bathrooms were small, but everything in the room was clean. The beds were bouncy, so if you toss and turn and your spouse wakes up easily, that might be a problem. Despite the proximity to the highway, it was very quiet. No EV L2 chargers or outlets, but there’s a new Tesla Supercharger under construction just down the street, so that won’t be such an issue in the near future. If you’re just passing through or only staying a couple of nights, this is a really nice option for the money.

Clean

Overnight business stay. Normally I stay away from Econo Lodges but took a chance based on recent reviews. Appears to be family run and they take great pride in making sure the location is clean. Will stay again.

For first time ever, I was denied a simple 1 hour late departure request I made at 7 a.m. due to a morning event I had. Really… 1 hour for 1 room? Can’t believe cleaning crews couldn’t work around that. Coffee in-room and at breakfast hard to drink let alone enjoy. Breakfast had no protein, mostly bananas, cheap muffins and cereal. Would love to see scrambled eggs or yogurt.

In Southern Pines one night for a funeral. Hotel choices were in the $75 range and skipped all the way up to $200. This property is a small family run facility. It's very clean, in a quiet location, close to many food options. Had a good shower and all the cable channels. A great property for the price conscious guest!
