It was fine for what it was, a one night stay for easy port access
Pros:
Room and bathroom was clean and smelt nice and fresh.
Thermostat worked well
Quiet at night upstairs in the room.
Staff all friendly and helpful
Great location close to the port and west quays
24 hour reception
Built in light under foot of bed triggers with passing motion which is handy during the night
Kettle, tea coffee etc
Full length mirror
Plugs well placed ie next to bed, opposite the mirror etc and plenty of them
Hairdryer
Luggage rack
Hangers for clothes and a hook for coats etc
Cons:
The car park is tiny no hope on a weekend
of parking. There’s a multi story next door which is fine, but as a solo female traveller turning up in the dark not ideal, gangs of teens were hanging out in there presumably as it connects to the shopping centre upstairs.
There’s several exits on different floors and after wandering about and not seeing the hotel (you can’t exit on foot where you drove in I called to ask the best exit to use. Staff very nice but said they didn't know. No phone signal inside the car park so had a cold wander about.
you check is at the bar, again not ideal on a Saturday night. Coridoors quite dimly lit.
Food is served in the bar, burgers, wraps that sort of deal but loads of food places nearby.
The shelf the kettle is on is super narrow, couldn’t really use a laptop or anything on there.
Would I say again, maybe. Or there’s a travel lodge right next door.
