From the first minutes you enter the hotel, you are surrounded by an atmosphere of attentiveness and responsiveness. The staff is sensitive and understanding of your needs and is worthy of all praise. Without any doubt, next time I will definitely stay at the Scandic hotel. The employee at the front desk deserves special mention; he is a very caring and friendly young man.

Unhelpful hotel with dishonest staff

I will never come back to this hotel!! Firstly, we had to wait for about 20-25mins for someone to attend to us for check in. Next, the hotel staff wasn’t helpful when I called to check on lost and found as I accidentally left it in the room when I checked out. They simply said the next guest could have taken it as there’s nothing in lost and found sept. How could the next guest have taken it when the housekeeper will be the 1st to enter the room to have it cleaned!! Definitely not a safe hotel.

one night before living.

Last day in northern part of Norway before returning to Oslo. The hotel is located at the entrance of the town, 20 mn from the airport. Very convenient. Near to gas station , convenient to fill up the car before returning it at the airport. Free parking available in front of the hotel. People were helpful. A little noisy because of the town celebration. But this is once a year.

We arrived early but were told we could not get access to the room until 3pm. While this was their listed time, most hotels will let weary travellers into their booked room earlier if it has been prepared. Not Kirkenes Scandic! To the dot we and others had to congregate in the lobby and wait. Not friendly!
