I stayed one night before a surgical procedure due to a winter snow storm.. the staff was very friendly and helpful. However I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom.. the shower had hair and some of the tiles looked like they had scum or mold buildup. The mattress in the bed was extremely uncomfortable.. it was rock solid and I was unable to get a good night’s sleep, because I was tossing and turning. Breakfast buffet the next morning was set up nicely they offered a great continental style breakfast along with scrambled eggs and sausage patties and make your own Belgian waffle iron.

Sent my daughters on a girls "weekend" away. They had a blast being so close to the mall and all the restaurants. The hotel was very nice and conveniently located. They had a fantastic time.

South Portland Marriott Hotel

Our room was generally clean except for a few minor areas such as the oven rack inside the microwave oven combo and the shower floor. The mattress should be replaced as it was no longer comfortable to sleep on (it was like sleeping on a sleeper sofa). It would be nice to have some bowls in the room too not just plates. Service could be improved in both the dining sector and front desk sector. The former was because they served cold "hot" breakfast at 7am on a Saturday, while the latter was due to probably a lack of training in checking in guests. Overall it's a good hotel to stay in despite its few shortfalls.

The bed was super uncomfortable and the pillows were horrible. It didn’t look like the room was vacuumed and there stickers on the bedside table.
