HOTEL STAFF ARE THIEVES We left a $200 pair of adidas shoes in the room. We didn't realize until a few days later and we called. They confirmed the shoes were turned in by the cleaning lady. We drive two hours to go pick them up as we were assured they were there. When we get there to pickup the shoes the front desk says they are not here and that allegedly we had advised them to throw them away LOL. They say they will call us if they turn up but it's highly unlikely we are going to get our brand new shoes back. The front desk lady also didn't want to provide the GM contact info. Be careful with this sketchy place. Also would like to note that there was blood on the wall in the restroom. Felt so disgusting sleeping there.

The property is in clear need of an overhaul renovation and nothing is being invested in it. The furnishing are 30 years old and in poor condition. The cleanliness of the common areas is not terrific. When you walk in from the garage, it smells like a truck stop bathroom. As you ride up the elevator, you can see the years of grime on the support structure for the windows and the windows themselves have not been cleaned in many years. The bathroom in the room has a door and frame that is rotting. There was also no hot water. I called the front desk and they sent someone who could not communicate and what I was able to get out of it was this is how it is. This did not make sense since the day before, I was able to take a hot shower. I had to sponge bathe before leaving. The staff was friendly and the mattress was fairly new and comfortable and the room was clean. The online reviews make no sense as being good unless standards are very low by those who left them. It also make sense now why most of the pictures are at night time. The owner of this property should be ashamed of how this building is operated. I will never stay here again and will most definitely tell others to not waste their money. I love the South Padre Island area and so far this has been the only stain on my trips here.

It’s not my first time there, overall great service at front door, the hotel is really old, I saw 2 medium roaches in the bathroom, I was drinking a coffee in the table and another roach walking on the table , the microwave old and dirty the sheets all stained, the floor pool was horrible and no lights it overall super old and dirty but back in the times it was a great hotel , maybe if they invest some money to make it great again.
