Hotel staff were efficient but some were not very personable. There was nowhere in the hotel to relax other than my room. There is a reading room which would have been a nice place to chill but I was told it was not included in my booking. The room was empty. Only one supply of complimentary water for the whole stay. During dinner one evening my unfinished meal and drink were cleared away while I was in the toilet. One evening was a steak night when you are served 2 or 3 different types of steak. In order to discourage waste customers have to pay 100 dollars for every 100g of meat not eaten. This is unnecessarily punitive given that the portions are excessive. Too many negatives for me to recommend despite being a good location.

Great location but the rooms are now tired

On arrival the hotel looks very impressive and the lobby area is very well kept however it's when you get into the rooms you realise they are a little bit tired now and the first ring we were given a black mould on the ceilings and walls Terry asked to be moved which we were. The hotel is in a great location in Pool area is fantastic

On arrival we queued for 25 minutes to check in. Our panoramic room was very nice, a little small but had a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The Club Lounge was good, evening cocktails were plentiful. Having read the warninga about how busy the breakfast room would be we went early but still had to queue to get in and then queue for the only coffee machine . We abandoned the idea and went for breakfast with fewer options in the lounge. Check out was also slow. The staff don't really aeem interested in the guests, it's not a particularly friendly hotel. For the price we paid we had expected alot more.

The Robertson House was a very nice hotel very handy to the Singapore Metro and the river restaurant precinct. The Club Room was very well catered and the Staff were very attentive….highly recommended

The concierge and availability of house keeping staff is terrible. I understand that everyone gets busy but there should always be someone dedicated to answering the phone for guests. I had to walk down to concierge one morning because no one in house keeping was answering the phone and no one at the front desk was answering either. So if you need something right away, you may not get it on time. The property was lovely though.
