Overrated (not a hotel)

This is not a 4 star hotel as rated not even 3 stars. This is like a semi backpackers hostel. Room layout is long and narrow. Share fridge on common area, surprised. Very likely it was converted from commercial building. Wet shower area as no dedicated shower box. TV is steaming from your device only, such a stupid idea. Good thing is located very centrally in town, walking distance to Bugis Junction

Central

Great hotel. Central with 3 MRT stations nearby and in the heart of shopping districts. Walkable to most attractions-Raffles, Clarkes Quay, Little India, Orchard Road…. Most of the staff are super helpful and friendly. The restaurant is great with amazing staff and there is a wine bar serving food too. There is a communal area with cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, cutlery and crockery if you prefer to prepare your own or heat a takeaway. Each floor has its own fridge with labels if you wish to store your drinks/food in. There is a gym as well as launderette. The hotel has been undergoing a huge refurbishedment/name change for the last couple of years and is looking great. I have stayed here 6 times in the last 2 years and always return.

DIY hotel

There was no bell hop or secure luggage check in available so spent about 30 min negotiating leaving 5 bags at the reception for 3 hours before check in was available. There was no water to purify within the purifying machine. The room refrigerator was not cold enough for storing food or drinks to be cold or not spoil.
