They try to bill you when you are half board
We arrived and the receptionist mixed up our keys but instead of just owning up and saying sorry, she they just acted confused and dragged it out and didn’t say oops or sorry, as if it was somehow our fault.
We were a family of 4 in our superior room and we booked half board and asked reception what it included/didn’t include and they said it was £25 per person either in the oak room or the bar. It was a Sunday and a set menu in the oak room so you could choose one course for £20 or two courses for £30 or three courses. The waitress said we couldn’t use it for the children so I asked how we would feed our children as we had paid half board and budgeted that it would cover them. She was really off with us and said she would have to go and check with receptionist then. I said okay (why wouldn’t I) she then came back and said the children can have the kids menu but they don’t have the £25 allocation. We said that was okay. At this point we weren’t filled with excitement about eating there to be honest.
Eventually, we got it out of them that my husband could take £5 of my allocation to get two courses.
Another table were approached and asked if they wanted still or sparkling and then they were going to charge for it but the people said they didn’t ask for it. They just wanted still tap water.
There was one nice waitress and chef who helped us have our dessert in the room because baby got tired.
The next morning we went to check out and they wanted to bill us for breakfast!
