Staff was friendly. Food was okay, depending on the day. Disappointed with them not serving breakfast on New Year's Day, especially since we have stayed there on New Year's Day previously, and they served breakfast then. Plus, there was no refund for not getting breakfast. We were told by a note tapped to the elevator door the night before New Year's Day that they wouldn't be serving breakfast. Plus, they charged our bank account the full stay amount even before we checked in and charged more after we checked in for "incidentals."

Room was clean and spacious with necessary amenities. Breakfast food looked dry and on one day was slightly burned. Fitness center lacked free weights. Last day had smell of sewage in hallways so suspect a sewer line must have had a leak.

I have visited the property several times over the last years. The property continues to decline. Dirty hall carpeting, my drawers ro the dresser wouldnt stay closed. And for clarification i didnt use the drawers however since it was the bottom drawer it was a safety hazard and the shower door wouldnt stay closed

The elevator was inoperable for the duration of our stay. The ice machine on our floor was broken also. When we expressed our concerns to the staff, we were called rude. We were told upon arrival that they were working on the elevator, but we never saw any service people the entire 3 days and two nights we were there. We also overheard the cleaning staff saying they were ready to quit.

The elevator was broken and we were not told until we arrived. It had been broken for 2 days before we arrived. We left a day early because we were tired of climbing 3 flights of stairs.

Mold and broken elevators
Not impressed. No idea how this hotel has a “wonderful” rating. We stayed here bc it’s close to Louisiana Downs. The elevators were all broken and they had my 70 year old mother on the 4th floor. The stairs we had to use were just disgusting. Nasty carpet, no a/c and smelled bad. They offered cancellation with no penalty but we prepaid through hotels.com so that wasn’t an option and all other hotels were booked anyway. The lobby and halls seemed to have no or very little air conditioning. The carpet was loose and wrinkled and a trip hazard. Our room reeked of mold and it was very, very damp feeling. We turned the a/c down low but that didn’t even help. Breakfast was a good variety but it had no taste. Honestly just very disappointed.
