Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were superb and I actually mentioned this to reception because they made us feel very welcome. Nice room, good location for what I wanted and would stay again.

We have stayed at this property before and will definitely stay there in the future. Highly recommended. The breakfast was excellent and the staff could not be faulted. It would be nice if there was more parking although this did not cause a real problem.

The room was too hot, despite the heating being off. Presumably adjacent rooms were overheated. The breakfast service was very slow and the bacon too tough to eat.

The staff and service were excellent. The food was pretty good for the prices charged but the menu itself and the size of our room which was a little smaller than might be expected, did not seem to sit right with what is advertised as a ‘boutique’ hotel. Our main surprise as we were expecting a hotel in lovely grounds was that it is located within part of the university complex.

Next to student halls could hear a little Noise sound 11pm with window open. Slightly out of city centre but easy to get taxis , 15 min walk from bus and plenty of restaurants. Breakfast and evening meal good. Lovely friendly staff. Charge for one extra sausage at breakfast not great. Great nespresso pod machine in room and honesty cupboards on each floor for biscuits and snacks and extra pods was a lovely touch. Would recommend and would stay again.

Bed had springs missing and a big hole, as hotel was full they could not do anything and as a result my daughter had a really bad back this morning. Hotel is very tired and dated and needs some TLC

Although situated in University grounds, the hotel was very quiet. High standard of décor and furnishings. Comfortable bed, coffee machine in bedroom and excellent breakfast. Staff polite and attentive. Halifax Hall sits in a leafy suburb of Sheffield, with the Botanical Gardens and the wonderful Endcliffe Park within short walking distance. Good choice of restaurants, again within walking distance.
