Best to avoid

This is the first 1 star review I have given, but this was among the worst experiences, and I travel a lot. The main criterion for an airport hotel is easy of transportation to/from the airport. The hotel failed miserably in its advertised obligation to provide reliable transportation from the airport. The waiting stop for the shuttle was not easy to find, but after I was able to locate it and give them a call, speaking in both English and Chinese, I had to wait for the shuttle for well over an hour. Subsequent calls, by me and drivers for other hotels, did not help, as they kept on laying about the shuttle coming soon. To make matters worse, the hotel is only 10 min drive from the airport, so they should have been able to offer a quick pick-up, if they wanted. The staff on the phone were not that helpful either, even hanged on me once. While I was waiting for them, the shuttles for some of the other hotels made a few rounds. While the hotel might have some redeeming qualities, this one issue should be a deal-breaker for anyone wishing to stay close to the airport.

Great Hotel close to Pudong Airport

We picked the hotel due to its close proximity with Pudong Airport. We were very pleased as the hotel was lovely, the hotel staff very helpful and pleasant, the dining room was wonderful, the room very comfortable and clean and the shuttle to the airport great. What more could you ask for!!!

Reasonable hotel close to airport

Booking in fine very helpful staff. Room clean and reasonable. Bed a little hard but fine for a night before flight home. Could have provided coffee instead of tea in room. The electric seat cover in loo a bit of overkill. Reasonable price and convenient for pudong. Bus to airport a bit of experience not sure if it was really roadworthy.

Comfortable sleep.

Just arrived back from China. Stayed at this hotel for 1 night on November 6th while transiting in Pudong airport. Although we are Chinese, we do not speak Chinese and one of the staff at check in spoke enough English for us to communicate. The room was spacious and clean. There was ample choices of food during the breakfast buffet. We were surprised and pleased that the hotel offfered us complimentary buffet dinner upon check in. This was most welcome after the long and exhausting flight. The only issue we had was locating the free shuttle bus from airport to hotel. The stop is right outside gate 12 on the 1st level if arriving in Terminal 1. You will need to cross over the upcoming car ramp right after the pillar and wait by the hotel shuttle stop sign in the concrete island. Note that the shuttle runs every hour only starting at 8:40 a.m, so if you miss one you will have to wait for an hour. On your return to the airport you will need to advise the receptionist what time you will be leaving to book your shuttle.

Close enough to the Airport

Depending on the driver it's about 15-20 drive to Pu Dong airport. My room was clean and bright with breakfast and buffet dinner included. The bed is very hard and like most hotels, the A/C wasn't as good as it could have been. As a "one nighter" it was good.
