The rooms were disappointing, but the front desk are nice, the lobby restaurant are beautiful. The 1st room the sheets were dirty the room was dark and there was not a mattress cover for bed bugs. But to credit the staff they changed our room very promptly. That room was clean and lighting much better. The front desk staff did tell me the hotel will under go a remodel at end of May.

Motel with Hotel Prices

We booked our stay for one night in March 2025. The photos on the Hotels.com website sold us on staying here even though it was at the higher price of $360/night. The room that we were given (411) was in a building that resembled a Motel. It seemed like an old motel that was renovated 20 years ago. Besides the new mattresses (which were great), all else was dated. The A/C was noisy, the light switch covers were cracked. The handle on the shower fixture was barely hanging on and we managed to get the water on by a miracle. The hair dryer was sparking with a burnt smell so we stopped using it. These items were brought to the attention of the staff, and they were apologetic and notified me that the hotel was going to be closed in 2 months for a full refurbishment. The price that we paid now was not worth it. Maybe after it is refurbished, $360 a night may make more sense.

Chose this hotel looking for a cheaper option to Downtown Phoenix as the prices were absurd. The hotel is a 20min drive from Phoenix. The casino and hotel is like most others, clean and secure. If you are looking for a cheaper option, it’s an option. Parking is complimentary also

This property has nice view and the beds were comfortable. However, they put is in a room where the air conditioner didn’t work, we called the front desk and they sent maintenance out and were told “oh yea we ordered the part but it’s not in. So it’s doesn’t work. You can sleep with the window open”. Our option was be hot or move rooms and since we had rooms next to my daughter that wasn’t an option. I don’t know why you would rent a room with a broken AC. Then I guess the wind blew away our “do not disturb” sign so our room was semi cleaned. They missed the trash and a couple towels. When we asked for a new DND sign we had to ask 3 different times and finally got one the day we left. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has good water pressure. The walls are also however kind of thin so if it connects to a room with kids don’t expect to sleep in.

I felt as though for the price you pay some rooms are more like a motel while others are like a hotel. It did not feel like a resort. The location was convenient and the staff was accommodating.

William at the front desk was amazing. Great directions on our checkout we went for an early morning hike and he allowed us a little bit longer check out time so we could come back and shower lovingly sarcastically, funny, great guy

What I did NOT like. Was marketed as Resort and Spa. Hot tub was green colored, spa was minimal with no information (brochures). We stayed 4 nights and were put in a room that was enclosed with no views of what resort advertised as great views. I requested a room change and was told by one receptionist to check back in the morning and they would accomodate this change. When I went the next morning, it was a diff. person who told me we would have to change rooms again after 2 nights. NOT customer service oriented. Was really just a hotel that did not have extra amenities and was EXPENSIVE for this. IBefore making reservations, I specifically asked about the pool and hot tub. Pool was too cold and as I mentioned the hot tub did not look like it was being maintained given the green color of the water so we did not get it. Additionally, room did not include microwave as I was told and the ice machine near our room did not work. Our main light fixture in the room blinked on and off before it would work and the toilet ran often before shutting off. Overall lack of maintenance. I would NOT recommend this place and I felt mislead by the resort and spa description - Vicky

The staff at PoCo Diablo were super accommodating and friendly. We were a high school group and they made our stay very pleasant by helping us with a few requests. The property was great!

I stayed here in Feb, hotel OVER CHARGED me 517.06 for my stay. While in the speaking with the manager and her giving me an attitude she could not tell me what the charges were for or give me a break down for my bill. 2 weeks AFTER I checked out, they charged my card 52.12 and said I used thier hotel restaurant I explained to them I lived in another state and it was not possible for me to be there. Had to fight with them both times to get my money back. They also charge if you request extra towels/blankets, most of the staff is rude!

Great stay, spacious rooms, noisy by the pool but it closes at a reasonable time so it was ok. Room needed some repairs; 1 plug did not work, one bed light did not work, one wall light did not work, screen door off rails, one bathroom switch was inconsistent/touchy. Beautiful grounds and great views from our balcony. The pool is heated annd enjoyable. Overall it was reasonable, clean, and spacious. Facilities a little dated and in need of repair. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.
